Today is the day for my first blog post for Maja Design and I am proud to present a layout with one of my favourite paper collections – Crea Diem. This summer we went on a day trip to Copenhagen and walked down to Nyhavn, a very picturesque part of the city. We had a really great time in the sunshine and in the company of friends.
I used the floral paper Känn dig själv as background, but to make the layout less busy I added the blue Sin lyckas smed on top. To create a sense of layering I used a mask creating a pattern with white texture paste. Then I added some more gorgeous Maja Design papers and a few punched borders.
As I said I love layering and not only layering papers. Adding some tags and note papers behind the photo and also a chipboard frame painted in white gesso around the photo brings even more layers and dimension to a layout. Since I love flowers and bling I created flower clusters to frame the photo.
The title is simply Nyhavn and a small bird is sitting on top.
