Happy Monday everyone! I hope you have had a wonderful Pentecost. In Holland we have two days of Pentecost, so I enjoyed a wonderful day off University today.

Today I have a lay-out to show you that I made with one of my favourite Maja Design collections to date. With the amazing Fika papers I made this lay-out about my niece Elise.  I really love this photo of my niece, as it shows her beautiful lashes and lovely smile just perfectly. I wanted to make a feminine lay-out for it and the gold and purple tones in the Fika papers were just perfect for this. She1

For the background I used the backside of the ‘Blommor pa bordet’ paper, which I matted onto ‘Kladdkaka’, the brown gingham paper. For the rest I mainly did a lot of layering and distressing with different papers from the Fika collection.

For the details I used two resin birds, that were slightly inked with distress ink, chipboad frames, flowers and some cheese clothing. The lovely butterflies were cut out from the ‘Walking in the Forest’ papers. 2 ScrappiesSupply list:

Maja Design: patterned papers (‘Fika‘ collection: Kladdkaka, Blommor pa bordet, Sockerkaka, Sockerkaka-bs, Tva fröknar-bs, Hemgjord saft, Nybaka; ‘Walking in the Forest‘ collection: Autumn poem); Prima Marketing: flowers, resin birds, alphabet stickers; Imaginarium: chipboard frames; Bo Bunny: doily, stamps; Tim Holtz: distress ink; Martha Stewart: border punches; Other: cheese clothing.

Thank you so much for taking a look!
