This year will soon come to it’s end and we have had a really great time, creating some really wonderful art and hopefully inspiring others along the way!

Now, the New Year is coming up – 2015. We think it should be a really great year, filled with joy & inspiration and a lots of wonderful scrapping! A new year also means – new Team members..!

Cathy-McGrath Cathy McGrath, Australia
“My style is shabby chic/vintage. I love to use die cuts, particularly in my cards as well as use flowers, lace and vintage trinkets in my other projects.  I cannot wait to use the beautiful papers and be inspired to create with them.”

I have been exploring some new approaches and mixed media
techniques, but being a very gentle person my projects tend to be more
feminine. I like using paints, mists and lace. But the most distinctive feature
of my projects are layering and thorough attention to details.

“My style is very feminine and detailed. I love all these tiny bits and little pieces that give teh personal touch to the creation. As Maja papers are very soft and shabby this is a perfect match. These papers are so “me”, they reflect all that i have loved in the scrapbooking ppaers for ages. Starting from the awesome quality to unique designs, I am just so looking forward to continue playing with them, but now as a part of a Creative Team.”

“I would call my style Vintage/Shabby-chic with a good dose of mixed media. It makes me happy to share new ideas and techniques and see others incorporate them into their own style.  I’m delighted to be on the Maja Design Creative Team for another year, their designs are timeless and leave me feeling inspired every time I pull them out to create!”

“Crafting has always been my passion, and I love the shabby chic- and vintage style. My projects are detailed and characterized by the use of vintage photos, lace, flowers and romantic details. I have always loved Maja Design’s papers and I am so much looking forward to work with the products and this fantastic team of talented girls.”

Ingrid-Gooyer
Ingrid Gooijer, Netherlands
“I think most people know me for my altered projects. Although I also love making layouts and cards, I find myself always looking for other shapes and forms which I can make more beautiful by using papers and/or paints.”

“Hmm…when talking about my style, I really don’t have one specific style. Normally, I create how and where my heart and urge takes me. I can be grungy and messy one day and keep it simple and clean on another day. I can be very detailed and add tons on one of my project but playing with simple geometrics on my next project. So I guess I really don’t have a defined style. What do you think Maja Designs gorgeous papers would lead me to?”

Jelissa-Mei
Jelissa Mei, Singapore
“My style is, I think, a marriage of mixed media and romantic shabby chic. I would say that my most striking characteristic is that I like to create multi-layered backgrounds with lots of textures and layers, and build up from there the shabby part of the work using papers and embellishments. It is really a honor for me to join Maja Designs as the papers suit my style to a T, and I hope to grow more as an artist in my time here.”

“My work is a mixture of romantic shabby chic and a bit of a steampunk, masculine touch. I don’t hesitate to use flowers and glitter for my boys’ layouts, but from time to time, especially when making to order, I do create a card that is not at all distressed 🙂 What I love most about Maja Design papers is their diversity that allows me to use it for almost anything I need to create. Belonging to the team of world-famous scrappers is a true honour and great pleasure for me and I’m so happy to stay here for another term!”

Pascale Bernard, France
“The colors in my photo are my starting point. I love testing new
techniques using gesso, inks, stamps, and creating my own flowers with colors
close to reality. I always create my own backgrounds with several layers and
textures. My style is at the same time or in turn vintage, shabby, steampunk,
and mixed media.”

“To get my texture, I love to work with distressed, hand stitched paper layers. I also love & use chipboard on all of my projects. By reading my comments, I would say that my characteristics is ‘my attention to details'”.

Zaneta-Glowa
Zaneta Glowa, Sweden
“I would describe my style as feminine, subtle, with a romantic touch. But I do like some variations, following my mood or an inspiration, which can often lead to creating something ‘not-quite-my-style-but-I-like-it-anyway’. I like my works to be well balanced, I let the ‘white space’ speak and I can hardly stay away from adding just a touch of some mixed media or stamps. I adore Maja Designs papers, I love to have them and just watch those outstanding patterns, explore the details… so I’m hoping that cutting them becomes easier as a DT member 🙂 I hope I will be able to show the versatility of the papers, play with endless combinations of different collections – with only my own creativity setting the limit!

Jennifer Snyder, Facebook Coordinator, USA
“My style? This has always been a difficult question to answer.  Let’s just call it
‘evolving’.  Where I stared , where I am presently and where I’ll be tomorrow is a big mix of styles. Where I stared off disliking cards is now where I find great joy. Gotta keep the journey fun and ever changing. Vintage yesterday, shabby chic today, clean and crisp tomorrow? Who knows!
Why do I stick out as a scrapper? I actually do not think my art sticks out. Art is just
paper, glue and whatever embellishments are chosen. I hope that the person behind the art is most important. I hope those people who have chosen to know me, will find depth, kindness and a caring helpful nature. I feel that egos and arrogance have found their way into so many hearts spoiling even the most beautiful project. I don’t want to be that person.
I love Maja Design for
its beautiful consistent collections. The quality and excellence of the product is a joy to use. I look forward to having a chance to use some of the
best and most beautiful paper in the world. As Facebook Coordinator, I also look forward to telling the world about Maja and  helping to establish a strong world presence.”

“Every new team is like a bunch of new babies in the family to me. That is what our team is like. Family. I am always so amazed by the wonderful creations they create and how lovable they all are. They are such an inspiration and I always learn so much from
them. I’ve become friends for life with past Creative Team members and I am sure this years girls are no exception.”

Jenny is also a dedicated scrapper and drops in with her wonderful art on the blog from time to time.

“My style is very Maja like. A lot of soft colours, vintage, lace and flowers. I like to keep it simple. I like to create usable things with papers. Jewellery boxes, picnic baskets, books etc. A tutorial or two might slip through once in a while.”

We also want to say thank you and show our great appreciation to those in the Creative Team that now are leaving us for new adventures. It has been a blast working along with you all and we sure are going to miss you! So, a big Thank you and Goodbye to these wonderful ladies that has been with us under the past year;
