Hello Maja Fans!

Maja here to welcome you to the blog today and share some Easter cards inspiration.

mdeastEven though it seems to me that people send many more cards on Christmas, I still make several cards each year to celebrate this most important Christian holiday. I love the spring freshness of colours we can employ on those cards 🙂 For my cards I used the lovely delicate Vintage Spring Basics collection.

mdeast1My first card features the purple-pink-green combo of the papers I then tried to repeat on the chipboard egg. After inking the egg I covered it with glitter glue for some glam 🙂

mdeast2For the second, brown-pink card I also used the egg motif, as it’s the most popular symbol for life and resurrection. This time I took small chipboard eggs and tied them together on a piece of twine like a garland:

mdeast3To use up even the smallest scraps, I punched squares out of some left-overs and arranged them patchwork-like for the background, adding some cheescloth for lightness. Then I covered the chipboard pieces wit glitter too:

mdeast4Supplies:

Maja Design papers: Vintage Spring Basics: 7th of May bs, 8th of March bs, 9th of May, 8th of April, 8th of April bs, 7rh of April bs. Other: chpiboard eggs: Scrapiniec; twine: Divine Twine; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; glitter glue, Distress inks: Ranger; cheesecloth: my stash.

And how about you? Do you send cards for Christmas only, or for Easter too?
