Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

How nice of you to visit the blog, today I would like to share a 12×12 layout with you using a almost 46 year old picture of my family on moms side. From left to right you see my mom, uncle Evert, my great grandmother Johanna, aunt Ellen, grandpa Arthur and grandma Anna. Oh how much I love those older pictures <3 For this layout I used two collections the pretty “I Wish”& “Vintage Spring Basics”! I took out the purple papers from the last one {to match the flowers I used} and the cream and brown papers from the I Wish collection.

I cut out a V part on top of my layout to use my dusty attic zipper chippie behind the tare then I added a couple of stamps by the very talented Gabrielle Pollacco on my background. Then I used a couple of Lindy’s sprays {purple & brown} to give the papers more shine then I used the script stencil to finish my work. I also stamped around the edges of my layout with a stitch stamp.

The flowers I used have just the amount of shimmer which I like and are from 49 and Market. The chipboard pieces are just inked around the edges and then sprayed with three different colors and inked around the edges again. Then I took out my brush to add some purple mica powder to give it a little shimmer.

Hello! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy, and I’m thrilled you’re here with me. I hope you’re having a wonderful day.

I’m reflecting on time this week, as my youngest child  is about to graduate from university. How did all of those years slip away so quickly? They truly did fly by. I’m reminded to savor each precious moment, for time is a gift and memories are treasures. I’m drawing my inspiration for this card from Maja Design’s gorgeous Vintage Autumn Basics collection.

I begin by distressing, layering, and stitching design papers to form a base. All of the embellishments for this card are die cut from the Vintage Autumn Basics Collection. A double layer of vintage die cut clocks anchor the floral arrangement.

I have a tutorial for these roses here on the Maja Design Blog. Below, a border punch adds a lovely touch to strips of design paper. In the bottom corner you’ll find a stamped sentiment.

A twine bow ties everything together with a feminine flare.

The Vintage spring basics by Maja Designs is a really gorgeous line!  I love the muted look of some of these papers. For this page I decided to go ahead with the ‘2nd of April’ paper from the same collection. It’s really soft light yellow with a hint of script texture. I absolutely loved that the papers handle all sorts of media so well!

I just fell in love with the collection the moment i saw it. It has the most gorgeous papers and images. I loved fussy cutting a few to add on my page for some added interest. I decided to go with a monochrome look for this layout with a hint of gold.
