Here comes a Confirmand card I made to my friends son. And I have used papers and image from the Summer Crush collection for this one. I think the papers have really sharp and cool colours, which fits sporty young people 🙂 It is my son (three years) who is holding the card on the photo above.

Here comes some more pictures of the lollipop card:

The lollipop cards ar fun to make, and they are faster to make than my ordinary cards. Here comes a closeup.

Tags from Magnolia with texts from Stempelglede.

The text #konfirmant is written on my computer and printed out. I have used my sewing machine and sewed the paper edges. They are also inked with Distress ink – reinkers.

Hello, dear friends! It’s Nancy here, wishing you all a warm welcome here at the Maja Design Blog. It’s almost June, a huge month for weddings. As a June bride myself, I can attest to carrying the traditional ‘something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue’ for good luck before taking my stroll down the aisle. Maja Design’s gorgeous Vintage Autumn Basics collection inspired this ‘Something Borrowed, Something Blue’ card for an upcoming bridal shower.

One of the many things I love about Maja Design papers is the fact that the same piece of paper can inspire endless creations. You need only to gaze upon the beautiful designs and your imagination runs wild. Also, though the collections may be named for different seasons or themes,  each is perfect for any time of the year. My advice is to stock up on ALL of them!

The papers are distressed, layered, and stitched to form the base. Blue and ivory are present in multiple patterns and tones.

A 5

The flowers are handcrafted from design paper (there is a tutorial on my blog). A resin frame, a twine bow, a scattering of pearls, and an antique pearl earring also adorn the base.

A 6

A little butterfly also found it’s way into the floral spray.

Layout

Hello my dear friends and happy Sunday to all!

It’s Mary here with you today and I want to share with you my latest layout made with papers from the ”Enjoying Outdoors” collections.

A soft romantic layout in purple and earth tones that was inspired by the beautiful photo which I found on Pinterest. And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

1

I used for my background the ”Flourishing” paper from the ”Enjoying Outdoors” collection. I also used some tags and a journaling card from the ”Tags & Journaling cards” paper to mat my photo.

2

I primed my background with clear gesso and when it was dried, I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. Then, I colored my page using Lindy’s Stamp Gang sprays ”Tea Pot Purple” and ”Pegleg Pete Purple”.

3

I heat embossed the ”Fishing Net Bit” chipboard with ”Pop Rock Purple” Lindy’s embossing powder. The title was also embossed with the ”Angel Wings Mauve” powder. All the chipboards I used are 2crafty and the flowers and embellishments are Prima Marketing. The flair is from Cuts2luv.

4

To finish my page, I added a few shells in my clusters and some licorice glass beads with gel medium.

5

Papers used:

That’s all for today, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by!

Jennifer Snyder here today to share my U.S. patriotic themed cards created using the fabulous Maja Design “Life By the Sea” collection.

Over in the U.S., we are celebrating our Memorial Day holiday honoring our military heroes who have given their lives for our freedom.  It’s a major holiday in the United States – most businesses are closed and families typically gather for parties, grilling and picnics.   It also signals the start to summer in the US – our official summer begins with Memorial Day.
Where I live in New York, farmers in my region do not plant crops until Memorial weekend.  Homeowners can start getting their gardens in shape (with fingers crossed that no more snow will fall.)
Another fun fact about our Memorial Day holiday…it’s long been the standard of fashion in the US.  For decades, women dared not wear anything white before Memorial Day.
The Life By the Sea collection is perfect for my patriotic and nautical projects.
Here is my first card.  It’s simple and classic.
I love this collection because it can be easily used for vintage projects simply by adding  a little inking on the edges of the papers.  It’s also my favorite paper to use when I am creating anything with an “Americana” theme -which I adore.

Here is my second card.  This also has the fun star chipboard from Creative Embellishments.  It looks amazing resting atop the bold blue of the paper.

Here’s to a wonderful warm summer filled with friends and family, health and safety (plus some paper crafting fun too).
