Hello, friends! I hope you’re enjoying a truly wonderful day. It’s Nancy with you on the blog, and I’m excited to share a new card. I have a friend in need of something special for a loved one battling a serious illness, so I’ve created this in hopes of providing a bit of cheer to her day. I gave quite a bit of thought to which papers to use, and for this project I am inspired by the beautiful pastels of the Sofiero collection.

It’s almost impossible to show glitter effects in photos (I rarely use it), but this card has glittery sparkle within the bouquet tumbling down the center for a ‘fairytale’ feel. The flowers are a mix of Prima and handmade. You’ll find the two that are handmade at the bottom of the floral spray, which are my first attempt at Foamiran flowers.

A label die and hand punched lace anchor the florals at the right edge.

The sentiment stamp below seems perfect for this project.

A loopy twine bow adds a feminine flourish. I love including bows of all types, and rarely feel like a card is finished without one. The interior provides ample of space for a personal message.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Heartfelt Creations Flower Die and Stamps, Foamiran, Tim Holtz Inks, Prima Flowers and Nest, Martha Stewart Glitter, Martha Stewart Lace Edge Punch, Spellbinders Labels Die, Archival Ink, Sentiment Stamp, Twine, Adhesive, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Hugs,

Hi everyone! Here I am with a card using the Celebration Collection. This time I have mixed the pink and blue papers from this wonderful collection.

The shape of the card is cut out with a GoKreate die. Then I have made it an easel card. I have cut out a heart from Spellbinder dies, and placed it all with flowers.

The text from Stempelglede says: You are special.

I made some poststamps from a lovely flower papers, with a DooHickey die from Magnolia. The postmark stamp is from Stempelglede.

The image is from Magnolia. I have coloured her with Distress Ink, re-inkers. The blue is Weathered Wood, and the pink is Victorian Velvet. I have used the colour Hickery Smoke to make the darker places, and shadows. I think she is beautiful with flowers in her hair. The text on the tags are from Stempelglede.

This card was also in the February issue of Ett Trykk. As a presentation card of my self, and my style of cardmaking. Here comes a list of the papers used:

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design blog!

With love,

Hello friends.  Jennifer Snyder with you today to share my heart card created using the Enjoying Outdoors collection from Maja Design.
These are the papers I used from the Enjoying Outdoors collection:
Singing in the Rain (A and B sides of paper)
There is No Bad Weather
I have to smile because the name of one of the sheets of paper I used is called “There is No Bad Weather”.
That is soooooooooo true when you are sitting at your crafting table and making some paper projects.  There just is no bad weather – it’s always a perfect time to scrap.  And even better when you are playing with Maja papers.
These are just gorgeous colors and they make me happy.  This collection is a MUST for anyone who loves purple.  This is sure to make you scrap-happy.
I embellished my card with die cuts from Spellbinders – Sew Sweet Valentine set.  I wove hemp twine through the holes in the heart die to add more natural elements to the card.
Here is one last look at the completed card.  Ahhh those colors!
I love photo images that provide a look at the dimension of the card.  This one is pretty flat and quite easy to mail and yet rich with texture.
Thank you for sharing a piece of your day with Maja Design.

Goodmorning lovely Maja Fans,

Are you enjoying the spring weather…here in The Netherlands we had some pretty sunny days but that is over now, sadly but hopefully soon we can enjoy the sun again. For today I have a layout to share. Two weeks ago my computer died on me and I could not post my project {sorry for that} but now my husband fixed that and I can edit my work again yeah. This layout is made with two collections “Celebration” & “Denim and Friends” and Camilla her lovely daughter Freja <3 is on the picture.

On the beackground of my layout I added the pretty waterdrops stamp by Gabrielle Pollacco {still one of my favorite stamps sets ever} but before I added that stamp I used two other stamps to one crackle and one script stamp. After prepairing my background I treated my chipboard pieces with several acrylic paints layered on top of each other to get a worndown look.

After I treated the chipboards I added my flower clusters. Then I took my photograph and layered it on two sheets of the 6×6 paper pads then I placed it on top of the chipboard frame to get more dimension.  At the end I took out a letter sticker sheet from webster pages and made the word bliss and in that corner I placed a metal piece.

At the end I used some of my white spray and gesso to lighten up my flowers and papers…but I also added some art stones and some sea shells. I think that is it on how I created this layout. I had a lot of fun also because we have a son and I really enjoy making layouts with girls being the focal point.

Maja Design papers used: Celebration: Glamour bs & Champagne bs, Denim & Friends: Streetwear bs.

Thank you very much for your visit, I hope I have inspired you to go and create something beautiful with your Maja papers. Have a wonderful & sunny day!

Love xoxo

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

You know I love the Denim & Friends collection as it’s just perfect for all masculine projects! But if you think it’s JUST a masculine collection, I hope to prove you wrong 😉

Yes, a totally girly stuff! Soft and romantic frame with three of my nieces in the photo.

First I assembled a chipboard shadowbox frame and then covered it with Maja papers, inside and outside, inking and distressing all the pieces. For the front coevr I chose to colour with mists as it is too intricate to cover it with papers.

Then I placed a chipboard clockface in the bacgkround, added the photo and surrounded it with embellishments – hand-cut tags, a tiny banner with an opalescent acrylic heart:

…mulberry flowers, resin heart and bird, a butterfly flair button:

…a delicate twig winding around the frame side:

The title is a chipboard piece too:

I also added a flower cluster on the outer side, addding guipure lace:

I’ll add some journaling on the back, which is for now covered with papers:

And here’s my list of supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: shadowbox frame, sentiment: Scrapiniec; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts, Prima; resin embellishments: Prima, button: Lemoncraft; mists: Tattered Angels, golden metallic paint: Martha Stewart.

So what do you think of such version of a masculine collection? 🙂 I really like the way it turned out and how the patterns compliment the photo.

And that’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!
