Hello sweet Maja fans.

A few of the things I love is recycling pretty packaging.

Every time I get a gift or buy something I take a close look at the package and see if I can make something nice out of it.

Good thing I have enough space to store all the interesting items , the only thing I need now is time , lots of time , but think that is a common problem we crafters have.

Anyway  I got some scented sticks ( love those too)  and the came in this tube .

We had a anniversary and double birthday party coming from friends , the asked money so they could buy something nice that was very expensive.

I think just giving money is boring , so wanted to make a nice package to put it into and I had this tube lying around so cut half of it and made this out of it.

on the top lid I glued a lot of flowers .

Under the lid I glued a satin ribbon that you can pull to take the lid of and it’s also a handle to hold the gift.

and a little birthday card to go with it and voila, gift tube is done.

For this project I used the Celebration Collection , what better papers are there to use for this gift tube than  the celebration Collection right?

Flowers are from Wild orchidcrafts , pearls and ribbon from my private stash.

Thank you for visiting.

I hope you like my project for this week and hope I gave you some inspiration for recycling those tubes.

I have more tubes lying around so will be back with another one soon.

Hello everyone!

Although it’s still spring, we are already having summer temperatures here

first strawberries in our garden are ripe.

It’s the most wonderful time in the garden, everything blooms and fragrance.

Do you know the wonderful sheet ‘Is always the best’ from the Summertime Collection?

Is one of my favourites, this paper is so beautiful, that you could put it in a picture frame right away to hang it on the wall.

I’m absolutely in love with the delicate designs of the papers,

because the motifs and colours reminds me on roses, strawberries, hikes across field and hallway, bicycle tours and much more.

some close up’s

Thanks for your visit!

Have a wonderful time!

Hello! Happy to see you here today!

It’s time to announce the winner of this month’s challenge. But first I’m gonna talk just a little bit more about the weather (we Swedes are know to do that a lot – and it seems to be working to make weather wishes here 😉 ) In March I asked for some well needed rain… I actually think it rained all April… So for May I wished for the sun to be shining – believe it or not – we’ve had the hotest May since they starded measuring! So just a little humble wish from me… please, please let this weather stay all summer…

No more weather talk – back to more important stuff!
A Big thank you to this month’s participants  – it’s a pleasure to get to see your artwork! ♥

A little reminder of how the Mood board looked like:

Maria Loijen, Netherlands

Karita Vainio, Finland

I wish a happy to hello to all of our wonderful visitors at the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, and I’m thrilled to join you on the blog today. I have a brand new all occasion card to share.

Once again I’m quite inspired by pastels, which I attribute to the beautiful weather and long sunny days, and the lovely Sofiero collection is just what I’m looking for!

Each paper is distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. A paper doily anchors the lush bouquet of paper flowers.

Twine bows add a frilly  and feminine touch. The sentiment is part of the paper collection, no stamping needed for this one! I did a bit of stamping with a script stamp to add a bit of interest, then added a dusting of gesso.

Below is a peek of the interior of the card. I always try to coordinate it with the front.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Doilies, Twine, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Paper Flowers, Script Stamp, Archival Ink, Gesso, Paint Brushes, Adhesives.

Thank you so much for stopping by the blog! It’s an honor to be here with you. I hope your day is filled with joy and fun filled hours of creativity.

Hugs,

Nancy Dynes

Hello our blog friends. Today I would like to show you my mini tutorial for a childish card. I bought one of the most popular metal dies from Sizzix (than’s Marta for you help ! ) and finally after a few weeks I managed to use it !

  1. I was looking for a pastel and sweet paper collection – Summer Crush was just perfect.
  2. I used some of my metal dies and cut the elements to use with my composition.
  3. Added some laces, flowers and created the base.
  4. Painted edges of the elements with Distress Vintage Photo ink.
  5. Put all elements together.
  6. Added flowers, chipboards, splashed my card with the white ink.

Hope you will like my inspiration. Hugs, Paulina
