Hello Maja Design Friends.

The new brand collection Denim & Friends has been announced recently, and though I see it’s Boho style , I decided to create something absolutely different.

I’ve made Wedding Cards and the love the delicacy the papers have.

The floral prints, stripes and lace patterns are perfect for mixing. I made some fussy cutting as well, the roses are so lovely.

To create the scene on my cards I used the dies, classy and Summer – associated. And to make the grape leaves I used Monochrome Shades papers from Celebration Collection.

The cards are lovely and full of tiny numerous details , though they look quite simple.

I didn’t add many flowers since the papers are perfect with no extra embellishments.

You are Mine, Mine to me – Layout with Video Tutorial

Hello Maja fans!

Today, I would like to share a new layout with a video tutorial made for my May inspiration. As always I found my photo on Pinterest and this one inspired me to create a soft romantic page in white and blue tones. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

 To create my page I used papers from the new gorgeous ”Denim & Girls” collection along with some Dusty Attic chipboards and 49 and Market flowers.

The paper I used is the ”Tough but sweet” and made some layers behide my photo with the ”You’re beautiful” and ”Loose fit” papers. To start, I applied a coat of clear gesso and then, I created texture with an icing paste and a stencil. When the paste dried, I randomly stamped and used a Lindy’s Gang spray to add color.

Next, I painted all the Dusty Attic chipboards with Finnabair acrylic paints.

Then, I layered all the gorgeous elements around my photo and added in some 49 and Market flowers from the ”Blossom Blends, Garden Seeds & Cottage Blooms” sets.

Mother’s Day Cards

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In many countries Mother’s Day was already celebrated, but in Poland it comes on May 26th, so just in two days 🙂 And since my getting married I have two moms, I made two cards for the occasion, using the latest collection by Maja Design, Denim & Girls:

For the foccal points of my cards I chose images from the Girls In Jeans sheet. As jeans and laces are totally my thing 😉 I thought the images would represent me giving flowers to my moms.

In one card I stamped and embossed the sentiment diretly onto the image piece and then mounted it over layered papers and added some mini roses and a filigree chipboard flourish:

As I like adding tiny elements to my projects, I cut out a star tag from the signature strip and accented it with glitter:

In the other card I mimicked the jeans-lace layers from the image, using paper and cotton lace, and then added a resin heart filled with miniroses. Glitter and some bling add the glamour touch:

I hope my moms would like the cards – do you? 🙂

Delicate Denim Cake Card

  Jennifer Snyder here  celebrating with a special cake made using Maja Design’s new collection, Denim & Girls.

Fun and flirty, sporty and classic – it’s all in the collection.  A little pink  and a little blue for that perfect balance to be used on masculine and feminine cards and projects.

And don’t forget about the  monochrome collection,  Shades of Denim, with newly released colors created to perfectly coordinate with Denim & Girls.

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog! I hope this day finds you well and enjoying some cozy crafty time. It’s Nancy with you today.

I’m super excited for two reasons. The first is that I just received Maja Design’s brand new paper collection, Denim & Girls! From the moment I laid eyes upon it I knew it was an instant favorite, and I’m thrilled to be sharing a new card created from this beautiful collection.

The second reason I’m so excited is that I’m hosting a GIVEAWAY on my blog for the next two weeks! The winner will receive an entire collection of their choice of Maja Design papers!! You can find instructions for entering on my blog at mytatteredtreasures.blogspot.com.

This is actually going to be my granddaughter’s birthday card. In our family we have what we call ‘the circle of favorites’ which includes every one of us. When the grandchildren come to visit the first thing I hear as the door opens is, “your favorites are here!”, and I run to them with hugs and kisses saying, “my favorites are here!” Needless to say, the sentiment ‘favourite’ that I found in the paper collection is ideal for Savannah’s card.

The flowers are handcrafted using Monochromes Shades of Denim for a perfectly coordinated embellishment.

Below is a little peek at the inside of the card.

The tiny paper flowers are fussy cut from the collection. The finishing touch is a twine bow adding the frilly finish I love.
