Welcome dear Maja friends!

Have you yet seen our latest amazing paper collection ‘ Miles Apart’ ??

If not – check them out! You’ll love them!
Delightful colours and inspiring motifs, I was immediately in love with the motives and

used the longing woman for an summer sea inspired layout. The motive seduced me once again to paint with acrylic colours and so the brush continued painting the cut out ephemera picture almost by itself.

Many of us spend their holidays in this year on balconies or in the garden, no question that can be very relaxing. But at the seaside it would be even more beautiful, healthy air and bathing in the sea, you can only dream of that this year. when I discovered this woman with this longing look, it fitted exactly to my somewhat melancholic mood.

 Ephemera

Ephemera – cut outs from woman, girl and roses

 Close at heart

Close at heart as background paper

Nyhavn – Sitting at the dock

some close up’s

in the upper area I simply painted with a fan brush a few clouds and seagulls

I love this vintage woman look and chose some suitable acrylic colors

little girl swings in the rose garden and dreams of the sea

other materials:

Chipboards from Dusty Attic; Mini Art Stones (Prima Marketing) ; Acrylic paints (DecoArt)

I hope I could inspire you to take time again for the beautiful things in life!
Happy crafting!

Good morning Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

So the day has come: a new collection from Maja Design is being released right now! And I am absolutely smitten by this collection: it’s so classic Maja, but with a fresh air to it too, with stunning ephemera images and most beautiful soft colour palette. It’s as versatile as any Maja collection, even though it has a particular theme: missing some loved ones because we can’t see them as they are miles apart. I think it also fits well in the current times of the world pandemic, when many have to stay at homes due to lockdowns or quarantines. So these paper would be perfect for all those “thinking of you” and “miss you” cards or other projects, images of elderly people would be perfect for Grandparents’ Day projects. But the collection features some gorgeous flower designs as well, simply ideal for wedding or birthday cards and albums. And so today I bring you a wedding exploding box with my most favourite designs from the set 🙂

As usually, I decorated the box lid with a flower cluster, with wedding rings ribbon and some golden die-cut leaves. On the sides of the lids I used pieces of the signature strip – I just love those small patterns or sentiments ready to be used like this:

Then the outer walls feature the beautiful rose bouquets design, definitely my most favourite pattern!

Inside I put some money pockets and a tag for writing in wishes, and in the centre a filigree chipboard cake decorated with matching mini roses and a lace bow:

I really loved working with these papers and I’m sure you will too! What do you think of this collection?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Spellbinders, Magnolia; chipboard cake: Wycinanka.pl; sequins, ribbon, lace: my stash.

That’s all for today, I wish you a safe and happy summer time – see you soon!

Hello Maja Design friends.  Jennifer Snyder here with you today to share a card made using the fabulous “soon to be released ” collection from Maja Design called “Miles Apart”.  The collection will be released August 10th and will soon be shipping around the world.

This is a “must have” collection with gorgeous soft roses, pale peach, light green, gingham patterns and all the exquisite vintage charm that sets Maja Design distinctively apart from any other paper company.   It really makes me smile because it’s so beautiful.

The collection also has a 6×6 paper pad and the matching Monochrome collection, “Shades of Miles”  with just solids.  I used the “Walnut Brown” from the monochrome collection as a background frame for my card.

The chipboard shaker used is from Create Embellishments and the gorgeous shaker mix is from Buttons Galore’s new collections called Doo Dadz.

Remember – August 10th and then shipped around the world.  Hopefully to your doorstep.

Happy Crafting.

Happy Together

Hi lovely Maja Design fans,

I sure hope you are all making some vacation memories even in these weird times. I was so happy that I got my Maja Design team box with this new amazing collection inside it, named “Miles Apart” it’s just so gorgeous and it will be released on the 10th of August just six more days and you can play with it yeahhh :-)….I can’t wait to see what you will all create with this amazing new line. Today i’d like to show you a layout I made with “Miles Apart” for this layout I used a picture of our two treasures Kevin & Abbey! I have to tell you all Kevin is just such a sweetheart to his little sister my heart melts when I see him playing with Abbey…

I am so happy that as a creative team member of Maja Design I already get to play with it before the release, and I am sure you will love it too. For the background paper I used the Stay Creative sheet and on top of that I used Thinking of you sheet. That last one I distressed like crazy with water and my hands and when it was dry I added some background stamps and a Dusty Attic stencil. Then I added some Lindy’s flat fabio spray {Chateau Rose} and some starburst spray {My Mojito Green}.

I also added some lace and cheesecloth do add dimension to my layout, to matt my picture I used the 6×6 paper pad….yes there is also a 6×6 pad yeahhhh 🙂 ! All the chipboard pieces are gessod and rust pasted at the end I used some paint also by the Dusty Attic and some finnabair waxes. And then came the favorite part of all adding my flowers I totally went overboard using four different packs of 49 and Market beauties. At the end I added a stamp {on my picture} and some metal pieces and art stones….

Maja Design papers used:

“Miles Apart”: Close at heart, Thinking of you, Be safe, Stay creative and the 6 x 6 paper pad.

I totally feel like a kid in a candy store sniffing the papers and going through every single sheet, and saying oeh and aahhhhh lol you must think I am nuts haha! Thank you so much for visiting the blog today and I hope you enjoyed looking at my work as much as I liked making it….have a wonderful week!

Love

Congratulations

Hi everyone! I hope you all are fine. I am back with a late night card. This time I have made a frame card with the gorgeous papers from the Vintage Summer Basics Collection. The paper you can spot the best on the card is called 1933 (with flowers).

I have painted this Sitting Tilda from Magnolia with Distress Ink, reinkers and Markers, to match the papers. I think both colours and papers fit so well together.

Inside the frame I have cut out a bird house from the papersheet called 1925. The same paper I have used on the base on the card.

The text “Gratulerer” on top of the card is made from a die from Papirdesign, and means “Congratulations”.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. I have painted the flowers and papers with White Gesso, to give the card a more shabby look.

Under you can see how I have put the card together, as I have first made the frame, and then fasten it to the card.

Thats all from me tonight! Stay safe!

With love,
