Greetings friends.  Jennifer Snyder here sharing a card created with Maja Design’s amazing collection, “Traditional Christmas”.  This is a vintage style camper coffee/cocoa food truck.

This card actually uses a combination of the 12×12 and 6×6 paper pads.  I preferred the smaller designs found on the 6×6 papers for the tiny die cut detail work.

Here is what the collection looks like:

The papers used from this collection are: “Family Gathering”, “Beautifully Decorated” , “by the Fireplace”.

The die set is from Spellbinders, to help kick off some Christmas holiday card making ideas.

Enjoy the rest of summer! But I want you to know it’s still OK to think about Christmas card making.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

In the middle of summer I bring you a bright and cheerful layout filled with sunflowers – a symbol of the season:

I chose the background paper that perfectly matches the photo’s theme – bike riding in summer 🙂 I matted the photo with a bike-pattern sheet from the small pad of papers and then surrounded it with cut-out images and hand-cut tags, completing the cluster with dimensional flowers and sequins:

For the title I used one of the cut-out images and a piece of signature strip mounted on foam dots for more texture and dimension:

As the title of the collection suggests, it’s about celebrating simple moments and everyday life. When you find beauty and joy in ordinary things, your life is special all the time 🙂

And here’s my list of supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Blue Fern Studios; sequins, waxed string: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I was very happy to find cut-out sheets in the latest collection, Everyday Life! Apart from beautiful images you will find the thin white border around them to make fussy-cutting easier 🙂 And so for my today’s post I created two birthday cards based on those cut-out elements:

The first card is for a gardening fan 🙂 I cut out the pot, watering can and gardenind tools and also single flowers both from the regular size and small pad sheets, and arranged the elements into a scene around a stamped and embossed sentiment, mounting particular pieces on foam dots for a nicer texture and dimension:

Similarly, I arranged cut out images of the wine bottle, glasses and piece of pizza in a card for a cuisine connesseur 🙂 I also added a stripe of washi tape and hand-cut banners to fill in the background:

The cards are nicely dimensional, yet flat enough to be mailed in envelopes, which is great 🙂

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers (both 12×12″ and 6×6″ sheets):

Other: stamp: Wycinanka; washi tape, pearls, string: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Greetings friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a summer card fresh from the Maja Design berry patch (or my scrap table).

This card was created using the Everyday Life collection and coordinating Monochrome collection, “Shades of Everyday Life“.  This collection has quickly become a favorite of mine for it’s versatility.  I have used this for Christmas cards, patriotic cards and now a fun, fresh summer card.

Here are some of the sheets used for this card:  Gardening (both A and B sides) and Coffee Break (both A and B sides of paper).

Thank you for stopping for a visit.  You are valued and treasured.  Happy crafting.

Flag Shaker Card with Instructions – Using Everyday Life Collection

Welcome friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a shaker card made with Maja Design’s Everyday Life Collection.  This is a wonderful collection filled with warm summer/autumn images and colors.

Today I have a shake card in an “Americana” style, which simply means a shabby chic patriotic style featuring the American Flag.  While Maja Design is a Swedish company, we LOVE Maja Design in the U.S. and all around the world!    My point is to show how a little imagination can transform the papers to meet your particular needs.

Hope, Believe, Cherish!

Here are the individual papers used from the collection: Hugs & Kisses (both A and B sides), Indoors 2, Home Sweet Home (both A and B side), Art Journaling.

Below is a simple image of how easy this was to create.

I made the base card, then cut out the square to be used for the shaker.  The tulle netting will be the window for the shaker.  Yep, tulle netting is great to use for simple, quick shakers because it has “slack” or allows for space to let shaker mix move freely.

Instructions:

1. Cut a piece of tulle netting big enough to wrap around the paper square.

2. Wrap the tulle around the paper square like a present,  then secure the netting on the back with double sided tape – leave one side open for filling.

3. Fill with fun shaker mix  ( I used Crystalz from Buttons Galore and More) and make sure all sides are glued/taped down so mix doesn’t spill out.

I finished off the card with a 3D shooting star button from Buttons Galore, and also with some of the journaling words  cut from the fabulous Journaling Sheet in the collection.  See the image below.  Isn’t that a cool sheet for so many uses.
