Hello Maja Design fans! It’s Irene here with you today. Fall is such a beautiful season and I’ve enjoyed working on tons of projects with the warm and colorful tones of this season. However, Maja Design has very different and gorgeous colors in their “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection.

Therefore, I’ve chosen a few papers from this collection to create today’s project. To showcase these beautiful papers, I’ve decided to create an exploding box card.

I’ve used some burlap flowers and berries to decorate on top of this box for dimension. I’ve also added an acrylic frame to add some different textures and elements to it.

Here are some pictures inside this box card. I’ve created a small three tier cake in the middle of this box. I’ve detailed parts of this box with pearls, velvet ribbon and liquid pearls.

Hello Maja Design fans! Have you got a chance to play with the new “Summer Crush” collection by Maja Design? I’ve recently played with this collection and I’m in love with the sweet colors. Today’s project is another project which I’ve created using this collection.

I’ve altered an mdf clipboard using the gorgeous papers. I’ve first covered the whole board with the pattern paper and slowly build layers on top of it using pattern papers, inks, stamps and stencils.

Here are some close-ups.

To create a softer look to it, I’ve added some flowers, picks and lace. I’ve chosen flowers with white base and later, lightly misted it with paint to give it a hint of color. On the lower right of the clipboard, I’ve also altered a huge paper clip with the pattern paper and twine. This huge paper clip can be used with the clipboard.

Altered_Baby_Box_Irene_Tan_1Hello Maja fans! Today, I would like to share with you all an altered baby box using Maja Design Vintage Baby collection.

This box is originally just a recycled transparent plastic box. I’ve covered it with pattern papers on the outside as well as inside on the box. I’ve just measured and trace each piece separately and later attached them to the box. To cover the seams, I simply used some washi tape.

Here are some details on it.Altered_Baby_Box_Irene_Tan_2To give it a softer look, I’ve added strip of lace and pearls around the cover of the box. I’ve also added some flowers to it.Altered_Baby_Box_Irene_Tan_3Altered_Baby_Box_Irene_Tan_4This is such a fun project to make! Hope you all like it and see you all again soon!

Baby_Handmade_Frame_Irene_Tan1

Hello Maja fans! Today I would like to showcase a super easy project that even the kids can do. This project is a handmade frame using just two pieces of 6 x 6 pattern papers and some embellishment. For my frame, I’ve used Maja Design 6 x 6 Vintage Baby collection.

Here are the simple steps.

First, choose two pieces of 6 x 6 pattern papers. For the paper on the front, cut out a window. (Note: the size of the window should be a little smaller from the size of your photograph. You can trace your photograph on the paper and cut the window a little smaller)

Glue three edges of the two papers together. Left one of the edges open for inserting your photograph later.

To make sure your photograph stays in the middle of the frame or in the correct position, simply just hand stitch a line underneath the window horizontally across the frame.

Lastly, just add some embellishment around the frame.

Here you have it, an easy and simple frame! It can be used as a home decor or even as a gift for a friend. Hope you all like today’s simple project tutorial. See you all soon!

Supplies Used: Pattern Papers: Maja Design 6 x 6 Vintage Baby Collection; Others: Petaloo flowers, white gel pen, Clear Scraps acrylic and mask, adhesives.
