Hello Maja Design fans and friends!

Larissa here to share a new Maja Design layout with you!!! This time it features the gorgeous Life by the Sea line:

Life-by-the-Sea-P

I recently went to the beach for a lovely and relaxing weekend by the sea. Of course, while feeling the soft breeze, smelling the salt in the air and feeling the sun warming my skin, I took some adorable photos and was eager to preserve those moments!

Beach Life

So… what could be more perfect than taking some time to scrap these pics with this adorable line by Maja Design?

It was very simple to put this layout together. The photo I have used here shows a beautiful sunset. It was cropped in 4 pieces, just to add interest.

Sea 1

After adding a few coats of modeling past to its background with the help of a Prima stencil and a palette knife I have sprayed three shades of Color Blooms and have added a mat to the pictures.

sea 3

All the rest was done with the help of a few cutouts, chipboards, shabby chic resins, stamps and flowers!

And I finished it up with a few more touches of gesso to add texture and to complete the beachy mood of this project.

I hope you´ve enjoyed this layout!

Thank you so much for your visit,

Join me for a coffee

Coffee

Sometimes we just want to capture the beauty of the simple moments when we are just having a break while drinking tea, eating cake or coffee…

coffee 1

This layout is as simple as that! Just because my daughter was having a fresh drink and just because this collection is so delicious and could give me the perfect way to portray this moment!

coffee 2

It has the back side of the “Blueberry Cupcake” paper as a base – layered with “Raspberry Jam cookies” paper.

coffee 5

I have framed everything with the help of a Blue Fern Studios chipboard and have added a few flowers, lovely cutouts, my tittle, wooden embellischments by Kaisercraft and blings.

I hope you´ve enjoyed this layout!

Hello Maja Design fans! Larissa here sharing a new project with you.

I know many countries celebrate Father´s Day on the third Sunday of June but here in Brazil we celebrate fatherhood on the second Sunday of August. So, it´s just around the corner and I decided to create a tag to embellish the gift I´ll give to my own father.

tag detail 2

Let me share my creative process with you so you can recreate your own masculine tag.

I have used Vintage Autumn Basics line by Maja Design to create it.

Vintage Basics

First,  cut a rectangle (size 10 X 6 inches) from a Vintage Autumn Basics paper (BAS 643) and take off its corners to create the tag´s basic shape.

tutorial 1

Repeat this step with a different patterned paper or the other side of the same BAS 643 paper, but this time you´ll cut a smaller rectangle so we can work with our layers of gorgeous Maja Design coordinated patterned papers.

tutorial 2

Use your distresser tool and add some texture to its edges (you can do this with all your pieces of paper)

tutorial 3

Let´s paste the smaller one to our base tag shape:

tutorial 4

Cut a few more rectangles (7,5 X 5 inches aproximately from BAS 635 and 636 papers)

tutorial 5

We are going to add more texture and color with the help of a stencil, molding paste, a palette knife and color sprays…

tutorial 6

Spread one coat of molding Paste, take off the mask and add color…

tutorial 7

tutorial 9

To add interest and more texture tear the papers as shown below

tutorial 10

Add a trim, bling and a stripe of paper to the edge

tutorial 10 a

Now you can put everything together

tutorial 11

Decorate the tag with blings, trims, shabby resins, cutouts, flowers, wood embellishments and junkyard findings.

tutorial 12

Have fun while working the details – each one makes your tag unique!

tutorial 13

I hope you´ve enjoyed this tag and tutorial! Have a wonderful day!

Hello Maja Design fans and frineds! Larissa here with a cute mini album to inspire you.

A Joyful Wintertime

To create this project I have used a wooden mini album by Embelliscrap – the cutest one – full of doors, windons and lovely urban elements that I decoreted using the gorgeous Vintage Frost Basics line by Maja Design.

Frost-Basics-P

Every corner of this mini shows an adorable village  and I couldn´t resist adding a lot of cutouts and vintage images taken from Maja Design papers along with the photos of an adorable trip to France.

Let´s take a closer look:

This mini has a lot of volume and dimension and I´m planning to use it also as a home decor item to decorate my desk and that´s why I have included a photo on its backside.

Mini´s backside:

And in the picture below you can see all the dimension in this mini album and how it stands by itself….

Hello Maja Design fans and friends! Larissa here with something dreamy and new for you!

It´s almost winter time here in Brazil where I live and I´m in a totally different mood than those who live in the Northern Hemisphere and are dreamin´about ice creams, hot days and beach fun!

I`m dreamin`about cozy indoor ambiences with hot chocolate …. everything surronded  by angels…

Inspired by these feelings I wanted to create a dreamy layout, something that could looks like a bedtime story and that´s why I chose to use the gorgeous Frost Basics line:

Frost-Basics-P

This line with all the beautiful colors and lovely patterns and imagery was just perfect to portray my fairytale.

Wishes

I adore dimensional layouts. I think they can give you so many creative possibilities that I simply can´t resist….

Wishes

To create this page I have recycled a  wooden resin packaging by Prima and have used it in the middle of my page so I get started using a grid as a design base.

wishes 1

Then I just have decorated everything using lots of wooden embellischments, resins, chipboards and flowers!

wishes 2

wishes 3

I also have included some texture by using gesso and snow tex! How fun is this!!

wishes 4

I hope you´ve enjoyed this layout! Thanks so much for your visit! See you soon,
