Hello Maja fans! On this sunny day I have two cards to share. I tried to use the same design to create both a feminine and a masculine card, to show you what a difference a different choice of papers can make.

First I will show you the masculine card, for which I used a combination of red and brown papers. For this card I used the amazing “It’s Christmas Time” collection. 4U My design is actually pretty simple. I used a Tim Holtz die to make the postage stamp frame that I used as my background. Then, I adhered two smaller rectangles onto this background. After that I punched two borders and added them to my card together with a smaller rectangle. The medallion was made with two punched circles and a wood clock. I added a bird, some twine and a cut out sentiment to finish off my card.

Supply list:

Maja Design: patterned papers (“It’s Christmas Time”: Preparations-bs, Christmas Market, Christmas Shopping, Garlands-bs, Die-cut Letters); Prima Marketing: wood clock, resin bird; Spellbinders: dies; Tim Holtz: postage stamp frame die; Martha Stewart: border punch: Tim Holtz: distress ink ‘Walnut Stain’; Other: twine.
4U detailSecond, this is the feminine card that I made using the gorgeous “Sofiero” collection. These papers are pink and romantic and, thus, perfect for a feminine creation!
Little Bo Peep I used pretty much the same design as on my masculine card. Just like on the masculine card, I also made a medallion by using different circle shaped dies. I choose several pink papers from the “Sofiero” collection and paired them with two resin birds, a clock and a little heart. The pretty butterflies were cut out from the Vintage Spring Basics: 6th of May paper.

Hi Maja fans! It’s Romy here with a lay-out to share. Today I will show you a lay-out I made of my beloved grandpa. Last month I used some of the gorgeous Maja Design “It’s Christmas Time” papers to make a non-Christmas lay-out and I figured that these papers were also perfect for a vintage lay-out about my grandpa.

This time I focused on the brown and red tones in the amazing “It’s Christmas Time” collection. I particularly loved the “Christmas Market” paper, as it really has a vintage feel to it. So I decided to use this paper for my background. Also I did some layering behind my photo to really make it stand out. I arranged my embellishments around the photo as well to make it the main focus of my lay-out.

The grid patterns from Maja Design have always been some of my favourite designs. I love to cut them out and use them to give my projects some more interest. On this lay-out I incorporated a cut out grid pattern behind my photo. The grid pattern was cut out from the “Christmas Joy” paper, that is part of the Vintage Winter collection. 222

My lay-out is titled “Familieman”, which is Dutch for “Family guy”. My grandpa really loves to have all family members together and to play with my little nieces. He definitely is the kind of family guy who keeps us al together as a family. 1111Supply list:

With the new Sofiero collection it was love at first sight for me. Being a real girly girl, pink still is my favourite colour, so I had a lot of fun making this card with the soft and pretty papers from this collection.

With this card I wanted to show you that you don’t always need a lot of embellishment to create something. Except for two pearls and a chipboard heart, I only used papers from the Sofiero collection. Even the sentiment was cut out from the barcode strip of the “A romantic picnic in the park” sheet.

The papers that I used from this collection are: Strolling down the rose pad-bs, Princess Margareta’s Garden (back and frontside), Exuberance of flowers in bloom-bs, Royal summer residence.

The lovely butterflies are from the Vintage Spring Basics collection. They were cut out of the “6th of May” paper. I love you 2 I used several dies and a border punch to give my card a layered and rich look. Also I have added some dimension to my card by attaching all the pieces with foamtape. I love you 3Supply list:

Hi Maja Fans! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. To start off the week I have a lay-out to share that I made using two Maja Design Christmas collections. I really love the colours in the Gammaldags Jul and It’s Christmas Time collections and figured: why not use these beautiful papers on a summer lay-out?
Chic 1

Some of the papers from these collections have Christmas images on them, but some of them have a more neutral look. I choose some neutral white, brown and red papers to match the red T-shirt that I am wearing on the photo.

1

From the Gammaldags Jul collection I used the following papers: Julbak, Marknad-bs, Karamellstrut-bs.

2

From the It’s Christmas Time collection I have used these papers : Preparations-bs, Christmas Shopping (front and backside), Garlands-bs, Peaceful-bs.

My die-cutting machine made it pretty easy to create this lay-out. I used my dies to create four doilies in different sizes and positioned them from the left below to the right upper corner of my lay-out. In the middle of my lay-out I added a doily, on top of which I layered several pieces of paper and a fussy cut grid pattern.
Chic 2

I only very rarely use twine on my lay-outs, but on this lay-out it seemed to be the perfect finishing touch. I tied a bow around a metal key and placed it in the hands of a resin angel. A tiny brad was used on top of the bow.
Chic 3Supplies:
Maja Design: patterned papers (Gammaldags Jul collection: Julbak, Marknad-bs, Karamellstrut-bs; It’s Christmas Time collection: Preparations-bs, Christmas Shopping (front and backside), Garlands-bs, Peaceful-bs); Prima Marketing: flowers, resin angel, mechanicals brads, alphabet stickers; Bo Bunny: doily; Graphic 45: metal key; Martha Stewart: border punches; Cheery Lynn: doily die; Spellbinders: small doily dies; Memory Box: star dies; Tim Holtz: edge distresser, distress ink; Other: twine.

Thank you so much for your visit and have a great week!

My wish

Crea Diem was one of the Maja Design collections that I hardly dared to cut into, just because it is so pretty. I really love the elegant and timeless designs and the beautiful colours in these papers. This week I decided to just do it and use these wonderful papers to create a lay-out about my niece. On this lay-out I wanted to record my biggest wish: becoming a mom some day. More than everything else in the world, I would love to have children of my own in the future. Seeing my nieces grow up from these cute little babies into happy toddlers and then smart children, just makes my heart sing!

My wish The first thing I did to make this lay-out, was cutting out the clock pattern from the “Den oersättliga tiden” sheet. I wanted it to be a real eye-catcher on my lay-out and kind of built the rest of my lay-out around it. Also I cut out some butterflies from the Vintage Spring Basics “6th of May” sheet. I spread them over my lay-out, in such way that it looks as if they are flying to the top of my lay-out.My Wish 2 In the right upper corner I created a cluster with some flourishes, a frame, two clocks and – once again – my favourite fussy cut butterflies. A little flower cluster and some cut out twigs (from the “Den oersättliga tiden” sheet made the finishing touch on my page. My Wish 3Supply list:
Maja Design: patterned papers (Crea Diem collection: Den oersättliga tiden, Av hela mitt hjärta – bs, Fylld av kärlek-bs, Ord flyger bort, Känn dig själv, Ord flyger bort-bs, Sann vänskap-bs; Vintage Spring Basics collection: 6th of May); Prima Marketing: roses, clocks, alphabet stickers, mask; Tim Holtz: edge distresser, distress ink; Memory Box: flourish die; Martha Stewart: border punches; Waco: pearl pen; Other: doilies, gesso, pearls, seam binding.

Thank you so much for your visit to the Maja blog today! Have a wonderful week!
