Hello, our blog fans. Today I decided to use the Celebration Collection to create mini-notebooks. I will use them to write down everyday routines and shopping list. I love to create projects with layers and small details.

The background was made with the structure paste and white gesso. Chipboards covered with embossing. In the end, I splashed everything with white and black acrylic paint.

Hope you will like my project. Hugs, Paulina

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

It’s been a while since I did some colouring, so for today’s post I decided to create a set of two baptism cards, for a boy and girl, that feature a hand-coloured stamped image. And here it is:

I kept the same design for both cards, just changing the colour paletter between girly pink and boyish turqouise 🙂 The design is very simple: layered panels of papers, the top one with a decorative border that you can cut using decorative scallop scissors, or even hand cut, so you don’t even need dies.

Then I placed the image of a sleeping baby that I coloured with Distress inks:

…and added a heat-embossed stamped sentiment with baptism formula in Polish and surrounded it with flowers:

I mounted the particular layers on 3D foam for some nice dimension:

There is also a bit of glam to the cards with subtle golden shine of the embossed stamp and crystal and pearl drops.

I wanted to keep the cards simple but elegant – and I think I succeded in that 🙂 What do you think?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade, Whiff of Joy; flowers, vintage ribbon: Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Spellbinders; pearls, crystals, string: my stash.

And that’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today!

The wedding season is slowing down a bit, but still the wedding bells can be heard each Saturday 😉 And so it is reasonable to have a stock of wedding cards and gifts at hand. Therefore for my today’s post I decided to make a wedding exploding box for those who wish to complete their wishes with some cash too 🙂

I combined two collections in the box, and they are both perfect not only because of beautiful colours and elegant patterns, but also because of their names! Mix Vintage Romance with Celebration and you have a perfect wedding project.

I matched the flowers I used for the box with the printed ones of the Engagement sheet.

Inside the box are the usual slots for money – the sentiments say: for the crib, for the shared nest and for the journey of your dreams – as well as the space for writing in wishes:

The filigree chipboard cake I used perfectly matches the flourishes of the papers! I decorated it with mini flowers and satin ribbon:

And how do you give cash presents to the newlyweds? Just an envelope or something more elaborate?

Here’s what I used to make the exploding box romantic and flowery:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard cake: Wycinanka.pl; dies: Crealies; ribbons, cheesecloth, pearls: my stash.

And that is all for today, thank you for visiting the blog and feel welcome to drop by any time to find more inspiration 🙂

Good day and welcome to the Maja Designs blog.

Tina Ollett with you today to share my project for August. This project “II” was created using papers from the gorgeous Celebration collection in shades of pinks and browns. I wanted to make something very pretty using these cute photos of my youngest and our boy Rafael. They are especially good friends and are often found rolling around out on the grass together in the late afternoons when the sun has gone down. I captured these photos not so long ago and decided to use 3 of them in a series rather than just one photo like I usually do.

I have used pieces Jubilee back and front by tearing sections and layering them top and bottom of the layout over the top of To the party. I kept this layout very clean and have only used medias on the Dusty Attic chipboards . The photos I chose were changed to sepia colours and cut down and laid inside the doily chipboards to help highlight and frame the photos.

To help embellish my layout I have used some coordinating Lilac flowers from 49andMarket.

I popped a little lace in between layers of the papers and also I have used some tea stained muslin to help keep my layout soft and shabby.

Some of the chipboards below have been spritzed with glimmermist and then highlighted with a little white gesso.

I have also added in some pretty pearls to help compliment my layout.

Papers used from the Maja Design “Celebration” collection are below. Just gorgeous aren’t they!?

Hello sweet Maja fans.

Today it’s my turn again to show you something I made with gorgeous Maja papers .

This time I bring you a Happy Birthday card.

For this card I used two papers from the Vintage Romance collection, Love poetry and When I saw you,

as base I used  Lavender Rose from the Monochromes – Shades of Celebration

I took the right upper corner of the piece of paper i had on top and rolled it half way back.

I used A frame of tattered angels en put in halfway behind the roll , added some flowers and finished it of with some pearl swirls  from want 2 scrap.

I used some sentiment stamps from Paper Sweeties for the birthday message.

the label I used for the sentiment is made using a corner of a spellbinders die

Close up of the roll on top, and  on of the flowers with the frame underneath  it.

Thank you very much for visiting today, I hope I have given you some inspiration with my Birthday card.
