Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with, as you can see, a new family photos. It’s a photo of my dad taken on the day of his very first parachute jump. He was only 18 years old at the time …

1951_Pascale

I started my layout by protecting the background with a layer of clear Gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and Graphite paste.

When dry, I added some color with bleu and black bisters. I let react with water and when the result pleased me, I dried with my heat gun.

I added some random stamping. And to finish I completed my layout with some micro beads and glass glitter.

Hello, I’m Pascale B. from France.
Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition.

Hello Sweeties

Today it’s a photo that I took during a trip to Terra Botanica (Angers – France) that I choose to scrap with the beautiful Maja Design’s papers. It’s a reconstruction of a old attic or garage with a pile of old stuff like I used to see in my grand-parents’s farm.

Terra_Pascale

I began to add a design with a stencil and a Graphite paste. When dry , I added some random stamping.

Terra_detail1_Pascale

Meanwhile I painted the die-cut gears and the clock face with black Gesso and covered them randomly with the graphite paste. Then I let them dry.

Terra_detail2_Pascale

When gears and clock were dry, I added some Rusting Powder “glued” with soft gel. To activate the powder, you just need to spray some vinagar et wait. If you don’t like to wait, you can accelarate the process by heating the powder with your heat gun.

Terra_detail3_Pascale

While the gears were quietly rusting, I colored the flowers, die-cut the leaves et cut some papers to add under the photo.

Terra_detail4_Pascale

To finalize, I added a touch of green with a chalk ink.
After having put all the embellishments together, I added some color to the background and some black glitters.

Hello Maja Friends,

today I want to share with you a canvas, that I have made for my class sample that I taught last 12 months. I am working right now on some new samples, so I thought that I can post something made for the classes also.

CanvasBoyWell, I always tell to my students, that pink is not only for the girls. So I took a picture of my baby boy and worked with grey, coral and pink colors to create this canvas.

My choice was a very stylish Crea Diem collection, really a perfect match for any project. especially when you are adding some paints.

IMG_2834I used dome scraps from the Vintage Summer collection as they have some good expressions too.  But the dots and script patterned papers are amazing for creating the layers.

IMG_2835I added some flowers and metal embellishments, great mix for the boy, I guess

IMG_2837I want to thank all the ladies who visited  my classes and I hope that you have enjoyed working with absolutely beautiful papers from Maja Design.

Products used:

Crea Diem Collection – Kärleken övervinner allt , Ord flyger bort , Den oersättliga tiden , Sann vänskap ; Prima Marketing sprays, stencil, stamps, flowers and trinkets, Canvas Stickers.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new photo taken in Château-Renault (France): it’s the Carament Tower.

CRenault_Pascale

I added a layer of clear Gesso before adding a design with a stencil and Light Moldeling Paste. When dry, I colored the background with some Twinkling H2Os.

CRenault_detail1_Pascale

While the background was drying, I covered the geometric chipboards first with Black Gesso, then with Graphite Paste.

CRenault_detail2_PascaleWhen all the embellishments were in place,I added some Art Ingredients: Glass Glitter and Micro Beads.

CRenault_detail3_Pascale

I finished by adding some splaters of Twinkling H2Os and some random stamping.
