Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new photo taken in Château-Renault (France): it’s the Carament Tower.

CRenault_Pascale

I added a layer of clear Gesso before adding a design with a stencil and Light Moldeling Paste. When dry, I colored the background with some Twinkling H2Os.

While the background was drying, I covered the geometric chipboards first with Black Gesso, then with Graphite Paste.

CRenault_detail2_PascaleWhen all the embellishments were in place,I added some Art Ingredients: Glass Glitter and Micro Beads.

I finished by adding some splaters of Twinkling H2Os and some random stamping.

Hello, I'm Pascale B. from France. Since I began to scrap, flowers are part of my layouts, and I gradually started to use mixed media as well. I don’t know how to define my style, perhaps something like free vintage shabby style could be a good definition. Visit me at www.pbhobby.blogspot.com

Hello Sweeties
Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with this photo taken during a recent trip to Barcelona.

Bisbe_Pascale

I started by adding some black gesso with a sponge, then some big splatters of white diluted gesso.

While the background dried, I covered the chipboard with some graphite paste.

I die cut the leaves in assorted papers, then I put them in shape after shading them.

I colored the flowers with some Twinkling H2Os.

I can’t keep calm, I’m turning 40!!!!
(that would be my line). Luckily, my friend who turned 40 the other day, was a true role model of a fabulous woman, at the best of her years!
The project which I’m sharing today is a little gift which I have prepared for her on this special day, a card with a matching decorated box.
DSC_0521md The box is decorated in a feminine style: delicate colours, flowers, some lace and bling!DSC_0526 mdClose up of the card: the text is found on pinterest and printed out on a piece of MD paper.DSC_0529md
Supplies Maja Design: Nyhavn-The sunny side, Vintage Summer – 1933, Crea Diem – Känn dig själv, Den oersättliga tiden.
Supplies others: Stamp – Tim Holtz, Flowers – Wild Orchid Crafts, stencil, bling, heavy gesso-Prima.

Thanks for stopping here for a moment! Have a great day!!!

Cathy - Happy Birthday

Hello everyone! It’s Cathy here on the blog today and I am sharing a masculine card that I made for my brother (I am behind in my birthday cards as I have another birthday card to make!) I always struggle to make masculine cards and it takes me a while to create one. This one is a bit grungy/steampunk inspired.

cathy - Happy Birthday2

I used the CreaDiem Collection as I was drawn to the muted tones of the papers. I also used foam tape to add definition to the layers.

cathy - Happy Birthday3

I used two Tim Holtz stamps, Simple Sayings and Odds and Ends as well as a memo pin. The steampunk clock is by Cheery Lynn. I also fussy cut a clock from Vintage Autumn Basics XVI papers to add to the centre of the clock as shown. I distressed the edges with walnut stain and black soot distress inks.

I usually machine stitch around the edges of my cards, but I used Bobunny’s stitches stamp on my card and tag instead. I love the distressed pattern of the stamp.

Hi! I'm Cathy. I live in Sydney and am a Primary School teacher. I am passionate about teaching and love what I do. At present paper crafts are my creative outlet, which is my other passion. I am drawn to vintage, shabby chic styled crafts which I love to create. I do enjoy other crafts such as sewing, quilting, knitting and crotchet…not enough time! I am always inspired to learn and to try new techniques in both teaching and my crafts. I love Maja Design papers and enjoy creating with them.

Beautiful You

Hello everyone,

Today I would like to show you all a layout I made with the pretty “Crea Diem” collection. Maybe some of you know I adore Gabrielle her work, as most of you do too. She was one of the first designers I met on the net when I started blogging. On my layout you may notice my “Gabi touch” as I call them. They are the cute rolls of papers on the sides of my page. I always try and compliment other designers if I use their ideas so thank you Gabrielle 😉20150517_1117221
For this layout I used a picture of my sweet friend “Natalie May” she turned 40 on the 8th of May. The Crea Diem collection is really gorgeous to work with it has such gorgeous elements what I really like is the pretty darkened edges.20150518_101310 20150518_101233 20150518_10115920150518_101155
The flowers I used are not handmade this time but from Petaloo these flowers look so amazing with the Maja Design papers. For this layout I used: om du vill alskas, sann vanskap & fylld av karlekCreaDiem-P20150518_10114820150518_10113120150518_101134Today I would also like to share two other layouts made with some pretty Maja Design papers.20150228_125726mam0
