Hi Maja Fans! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. To start off the week I have a lay-out to share that I made using two Maja Design Christmas collections. I really love the colours in the Gammaldags Jul and It’s Christmas Time collections and figured: why not use these beautiful papers on a summer lay-out?
Chic 1

Some of the papers from these collections have Christmas images on them, but some of them have a more neutral look. I choose some neutral white, brown and red papers to match the red T-shirt that I am wearing on the photo.

1

From the Gammaldags Jul collection I used the following papers: Julbak, Marknad-bs, Karamellstrut-bs.

2

From the It’s Christmas Time collection I have used these papers : Preparations-bs, Christmas Shopping (front and backside), Garlands-bs, Peaceful-bs.

My die-cutting machine made it pretty easy to create this lay-out. I used my dies to create four doilies in different sizes and positioned them from the left below to the right upper corner of my lay-out. In the middle of my lay-out I added a doily, on top of which I layered several pieces of paper and a fussy cut grid pattern.
Chic 2

I only very rarely use twine on my lay-outs, but on this lay-out it seemed to be the perfect finishing touch. I tied a bow around a metal key and placed it in the hands of a resin angel. A tiny brad was used on top of the bow.
Chic 3Supplies:
Maja Design: patterned papers (Gammaldags Jul collection: Julbak, Marknad-bs, Karamellstrut-bs; It’s Christmas Time collection: Preparations-bs, Christmas Shopping (front and backside), Garlands-bs, Peaceful-bs); Prima Marketing: flowers, resin angel, mechanicals brads, alphabet stickers; Bo Bunny: doily; Graphic 45: metal key; Martha Stewart: border punches; Cheery Lynn: doily die; Spellbinders: small doily dies; Memory Box: star dies; Tim Holtz: edge distresser, distress ink; Other: twine.

Thank you so much for your visit and have a great week!

I am sure that all of you had a wonderful Valentine’s Day, though it was just yesterday, I wold like to bring you some more Spring Inspiration today, however on Valentine’s theme.

I’ve made a home decoration project with my daughter. I love my hobby because it is such a pleasure that you can create something alongside with your children. So please meet or Valentine’s Wreath:

MajaDesignWreath

I asked my daughter to help me to cut out the hearts from Crea Diem collections. So she has chosen Sann vänskap and Av hela mitt hjärta papers, so she is quite moderate in colors.

Though it was not very easy for her to cut them precisely, she has made a great job. But I wanted to add some shabby look to them, so I distressed the edges

then I took 3 of the hearts and stitched them in the center. I left long  threads and hang them on the wreath, that we made of the tree’s branches.

Hearts

we had one extra heart left, so we decided to tie 2 hearts together

Quite a simple project but I am sure it will decorate our house during the coming spring months too

And one more card, made for Valentine’s Day too, using Gammaldags Jul Collection

Hello! Elena is here with you and today I want to share with you a Summer layout, inspired by amazing summer photos and no doubt, I used Vintage Summer Basics Collection

SummerBasicbyElenaMD

Surely this is the most beautiful paper collection I’ve ever seen, however I decided to play with some paints and added some accents on this 1905 paper sheet.

I have teared some papers for my photo padding (1936, 1920, 1910) and made some random stitching of the title cut from the patterned papers

and I added some script stamping and flowers to embellish my Layout

rosesand I can not resist using lace there as it reminds me about feminine accent that should definitely be there.

GrassClump

and one more Layout I want to share with you today was made for 2Crafty Chipboard blog, but as it is filled with many Christmas papers I decided to show it too

MajaPost

I wanted to make something different from traditional cutting and gluing the papers, so I stitched, stamped and painted as usual I do while creating something. I used Fröjdefull Jul ( Julklappar)  and Gammaldags Jul collections ( Goder afton, Pyntat och fint)

I made some tearing of  the stripes

Titlenew

and some fussy cutting from Ringdans paper
