Hello everyone!

Today a new inspiration for Maja Design. Two pages for a new minialbum with my favourite theme Summer by the Sea. We have a very hot and especially dry summer here and every thought of a cool fresh sea breeze is more than welcome.

”You can shake the sand from your shoes,

but it will never leave your soul”

I used a beautiful neutral sheet ‘Wind in my hair’ from the ‘Summertime’ collection as underground paper. The tags from this collection

were a wonderful addition and very practical to attach my flip flop images.

some details

I have added some cut out elements from the ‘Life by the sea’ paper collection

and some wooden shape mini elements from Calico Craft Parts

an amazing little parasol and a die cut flower as sun
a background stamp with an old Kogge
Thanks for your visit!
I wish you a wonderful summertime!

Jennifer Snyder here sharing how much I adore the seaside collection by Maja Design called Life by the Sea.  I find this collection to be soothing, peaceful and calming.

These are the papers I used from Life by the Sea by Maja Design
Regatta (B side)
Bottle Message ( A and B side)
In order to give my card an extra pop of nautical fun, I added a chipboard heart net from Creative Embellishments and a flair button.  I think the embellishments complement the papers perfectly.

Here is one last image to show the dimension of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today.  Happy crafting.

Hello Crafty Friends.

The air is chilling outside though it is sunny. And I like to review the pictures taken during the summertime. There are many of them taken at teh beach, si O decided to start making the cover for my mini album.

Travel_Book_Album_Cover_life_by_The_Sea_Elena

I have made already many projects with the Life by the Sea collection, but I still love to try it again and again and play with beautiful patterns.

Travel_Book_Album_Cover_life_by_The_Sea_Elena1

I put many paper layers together. It was quite easy to do since there are many papers to try.

I like those strips, stars and the map paper sheets, and there are plenty of colors to choose and to mix for your projects.

Have a wonderful week end and enjoy your papercrafting.

Hello Scrapbooking friends!
I am very excited and honored to have been invited here this month as Guest Designer. Thanks so much for your invitation!

Kerstin-Inga-Peters

My name is Kerstin- Inga Peters and I come from Germany. I have been creating for many years now, always in search for new techniques and yet unexplored territory in craftland.
I’m a modern girl with a big vintage heart and my big passion are photos, colours and textures. With Scrapbooking and Mixed Media Style I have found ‘my’ perfect favourite genres – as it combines words and pictures, thoughts and feelings, and the application of various innovative products, techniques and the idea of telling stories.
I love the sea forever and ever. That’s my place for relaxation, dreaming and inspiration.
As I saw the wonderful papers I thought, amazing the right colors for sea, beach and so much more.

My first layout shows our family sunshine ‘Filou’, it’s a sheltie and he has always so much fun on the sea. His favourite occupation is to get sticks or balls out of the water.

Summer Fun

Used materials

Maja Design papers: Summer Time -Having fun-; Life by the sea -Regatta-; Life by the sea -Marina-

Prima flowers, Scrap FX chipboards, Gauze, Texture paste white, Distress Stain Walnut ink, Embossing powder, 3D pearls, sea shells, metal embellishments, driftwood

IMG_2820A crumpled craft paper with burlap leftover, some self-collected shells and a piece from edge stripe.

IMG_2821

Some stains and splashes with paints diluted with water, together with some cut outs from the ‘Marina’ paper (flags and lighthouse).

IMG_2823

Can you see the waves on my photo? I love the idea to continue some photo elements on the background paper. Here I used a white texture paste and a fan brush for more sea waves.

I also used some hand torn stripes together with colored gauze and a lot of little blue flowers.

Good day – We don’t remember days, we remember moments

Sunshine, beach, the sea and more: while the little ones dig in the biggest sandpit, the grown-ups lounge in a beach chair enjoying the sun or take a refreshing dip in the sea.

Used materials:

Maja Design papers: Life by the sea -Sailing-, Life by the sea -Regatta-

Stencil ‘Coral’ Scrap FX, Clear stamps ‘Maritim’ Viva Decor, Dies – Lighthouse, Beach grass, Tattered flowers, white gesso, Chalkboard Glimmer Mist ‘Boogie board’ Tattered Angels,

burlap, metal embellishment, tags, chipboard word from Scrap FX

 Hanse Sail

Maja Design papers: Sailing – Vintage Romance -Words of Love-, Life by the sea -Marina-

Embellishments – wooden seahorse, metalic charms, feathers, starfish, rope

3D pearls, Distress stain ‘Walnut ink’, chipboard wordlet Scrap FX, circle dies, stencil ‘Bubbles’

embossing powder ‘Burnt copper leaves’

I’m a big fan of old sailor ships. The ‘Hanse Sail’ shall take place once at year on the Baltic Sea. You can see there very impressive windjammers,

traditional ships and museum ships. IT’s really a highlight for me and my vintage soul.

IMG_2513

So I used here more vintage colors, various brown shades and a wine red.

For the wooden seahorse I used a transparent crackle paste in combination with distress ink and a little bit copper wax creme.

Some motifs from the ‘Regatta’ were very suitable for my photo and I decided to use a round die to cut out these elements.

Many thanks for your visit!

Happy crafting!

Hello Maja Friends,

each summer I wait for the chance to see the sea. It’s a great disadvantage that I live in the country with no sea, however I do all my best to spend some time by the sea. That is why I like creating nautical albums so much.

Nautical_Cascade_Sea_Mini_Album_CoverSneak

I do love using Maja – Life by the Sea collection, it has the variety of stripes, stars  and other nautical motifs to choose from.

Nautical_Cascade_Sea_Mini_Album_Maja_Design

This time I made a cascade mini album and used some of the pictures taken last summer by the Baltic Sea.

Nautical_Cascade_Sea_Mini_Album_1

I used only paper to create my layers and die cut embellishments

Nautical_Cascade_Sea_Mini_Album_2

I played with different patterns and skinny size, and even managed to make some fussy cutting

Nautical_Cascade_Sea_Mini_Album_4

All of those Sealight pictures as well as the Sail boats are perfect addition to the mini.

It was fun to enjoy papercrafting and to revise that past time memories.

I left some pages almost clean and simple, as the background papers are awesome with no extra layers too.
