Hello Maja Friends,

Few days are left before the Spring ends and the summer officially comes.

I can not believe that finally I will enjoy the outdoor activities and hope that I will have time to craft at the same time.

For today’s post I prepared 5 cards.

Summer_Feeling_Cards_Maja_Design

I have a blast working on 5 cards at once. The reason is that I love so much Life in the country collection. It seems that the summer starts and I craft only with these particular papers.

Summer_Feeling_Cards_Maja_Design1

I mixed red, green and cream brown colors for my cards. They remind me about berries, trees with the leaves and the wind whisper.

I have been waited so long for this time of Season.

My cards are almost the same  but they are different, as I didn’t use any similar sketch for them.

They are mostly celebration cards, I made different sentiments for them as – Congratulations, Anniversary and Birthday.

I do like to have several cards by hand for any occasion, and working on the cards at once gives me the chance to be ready for any special date.

My recipe for this kind of cards is:

few flowers, string, some dies.

Adding some craft elements can make it look more bright.

Hi lovely friends,

Today I would like to share some cards with you using different Maja Design collections. I have to say I am totally hooked on using Maja Design papers so for every project I make I always think which of their collections will fit my theme…..all the cards I will show you today where made for my DT work at Cheery Lynn Designs {a die manufacturer}! But using my precious Maja Design papers……

Sweet Love:

For this shaker card I used the pretty “Vintage Romance” collection and just plain creme card stock and a bunch of dies. I really love the dimension of the flowers that’s what the papers do because of the high quality they are.

For my third card I used the amazing “Vintage Autumn Basics” collection and for the centers of my flowers I used micro beads which I think worked out really pretty. The background sheet with the blue flowers is one of my favorite papers from this collection.

Hello Maja Fans,

I am looking forward to meet the summer next week. I have been missing the warm evening spent on our terrace at the countryside.

So I looked through the shots made last summer and found this fun photo of my kids hanging on the hammock.

LifeByTheCountry_MajaDesign_Layout_ElenaOlinevich1

I used , as you might have already guessed , Life in the country collection, and chose the floral green background for the layout.
Then I made a lot of die cutting

LifeByTheCountry_MajaDEsign_layout_ElenaOLinevich2

I used just a few flowers to make it look more natural . I die cut an apple and colored it a bit with the colors used on the patterned papers

However to add more texture I put some flower soft on the chipboard pieces and die cuts

Just a few of color accents with blue, red and green and here it is

Young , wild and free.

Sometimes I wish I could come back to my childhood and spend a carefree summer.

Goodmorning everyone,

I just found out I really like the word “lovely” and that I very often use this word like on my last layout that you have seen two weeks back hihihi…..well it’s a nice word right! Today I would like to show you what I made using the pretty “Life in the Country”collection. The chipboard pieces are all by Creative Embellishments. I saw this cute girl on pinterest eating some yummy strawberry’s and I immediately thought well I need to use this paper collection for that adorable picture.

Oh boy I had so much fun creating this layout and I love how those gorgeous colors come together! On the base of my layout {the green sheet} which is called “summer fields” I added some text stamp with some embossing ink and purely white embossing powder. I wanted to go a little more colorful then my last layout and I think that worked well. The flowers I used this time are easy {not handmade} sorry but by Petaloo which are by far my most favorite flowers to work with.

I am so much in love with the border chipboard words and they fit so well with these papers and the clocks are so much fun to add to any project. That I took out two sheet of it and when we were watching a movie I was cutting clocks in the meanwhile very therapeutic as I may say so. Also you will see that I stitched the outer green borders with white tread and added some flower stencil with some crackle paste.

‘From the Heart’ Valentine Card

A Maja Heart

I wish you a happy hello and warm welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, with a Valentine project to share with you. I was completely inspired by the cozy, rustic appeal of the ‘Life in the Country’ paper collection. Since my previous projects focused on handmade flowers, I thought I’d change things up with a cheery banner card.

B Maja Heart

The beautiful papers were distressed, layered, and stitched to form the base of the card. You can’t distress just any design paper. Maja Design manufactures the highest quality paper I’ve ever found. The heavier weight allows you to work with it without ripping or tearing, and the double sided pages allow endless flexibility and options. I mist, twist, and even bake this paper when I make flowers. It stands up to everything!

C Maja Heart

There are actually two banners here. The first layer is frilly lace strung through with jute. Die cut hearts and tags complete the second layer.  The banners are anchored by jute bows on either end.

D Maja Heart

With the exception of the tiny rosebuds and buttons, all the embellishments were created using the paper collection.

Maja Design Papers used:

Life in the country

Additional Supplies: Lace, buttons, rosebuds, and jute from my stash; Tim Holtz sentiment stamp, heart and tag dies; Archival Ink, White Cardstock (for base of card), Gesso, Adhesive, Sewing Machine, Thread

I’m thrilled you stopped in for a visit! Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, and there’s still time to let your loved one know how special they are with a handmade card. Also, don’t forget to check out this month’s Mood Board Challenge. May your day be filled with all things good and wonderful!

Hugs,
