Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

If you have seen my last post tehn you’ve seen the reason for today’s post too 🙂 Previously I shared two birthday card for a boy and a girl, in which I used – among others, of course – the Paisley bs and Loose fit bs papers. I was then left with pieces too small to be used for card panels, but still too large to be thrown away – I think you know what I mean 🙂 And so I punched a couple of squares and used them to make a patchwork background for a rustic flowery card:

I basically followed the colour palette of the Denim&Girls collection – pink, blue and navy blue – to which I added a touch of gold and a bit of glam with pearl cardstock, gold embossing powder and iridescent sequins:

I placed the stamped and embossed sentiment in the centre and matted it with die-cut doily and flower clusters.

It beautifully glimmers against the light:

And I really love how it turned out – rustic and simple yet glamorous and elegant. What do you think?

For the card I used the following products:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Cheery Lynn Designs, Sizzix, CreaLies; stamp: Latarnia Morska; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; punch: dpCraft, sequins: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Shaker Card Made from Denim and Filled with Love

Hello friends.  Jennifer Snyder here to share a shaker card full of love, using the beautiful
Maja Design – Denim & Girls paper collection as well as some of my other favorite products. Here are the papers used from Denim & Girls:
Pink Linen
You’re a Star

Maja Design has the perfect coordinating solid collection to take the stress out of color matching.  It’s the fabulous Monochrome Collection – Shades of Denim.  They have added 6 new shades to coordinate perfectly with the Denim & Girls papers.

In addition to the soft feminine papers and patterns in the collection, I used chipboard from Creative Embellishments as my minimal embellishments.  Yes this card looks clean and simple, however I felt adding flowers and bows would have taken away from the elegance and grace of the card.

This card has one additional added surprise because it is a shaker card.  I love creating shakers  as I  imagine the look on someone’s face as they open a shaker card.

This card is filled with shaker mix from 28 Lilac Lane and the mix is called “Marshmallow”.

After painting the chipboard with cream acrylic paints and creating the shaker section, I added a  doily chipboard piece, giving the shaker a nice delicate decorative edge.

I also added small string pearls to the outside of the shaker to cover the chipboard seams and give a finished polished look.

Thanks for stopping here today.  Happy crafting.

Hello, Jennifer Snyder here to share a card made using the wonderful and versatile  Denim & Girls collection and the coordinating Monochrome-Shades of Denim collection.
These are the papers I selected from the collection.
Roses
Floral Top
Monochrome – Off White

The papers are versatile because the patterns inspire so many moods – from delicate to bold, calm to dramatic, sporty to feminine and even masculine.  That’s quite amazing for one collection to capture so many moods and feelings.
I went with calm and peaceful.
In addition to Maja Design papers, I used a new Spellbinders die designed by Becca Feeken called Shapeabilities Brillante Rondelle – from the Vintage Treasures collection.
The card has a clean feel with a hint of vintage being embellished with a vintage button and tiny string pearls.

 Thank you for stopping.

I hope you have set aside a bit of  “YOU time” today to enjoy some calm and peace in your life.

Good morning, dear Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Yesterday we celebrated Father’s Day in Poland. For this very special occasion I decided to make a special gift. But first let me share you a story behind it 😉

I make a lot of dimensional cards and therefore use a lot of card boxes too. And being a true scrapper and hoarder 😀 I tend to collect everything that could potentially be used, altered, reused and recycled, and that includes faulty box pieces. And so I gathered lids and bottoms that were assembled wrong, or stained, or wonky – and felt it was the right time to do something about them 😉

Yes, I decided to make a shadobbox-like frame using box elements 🙂 And I’m going to share a step-by-step tutorial with you.

The boxes were of various sizes and colours, so first I inked all the outside edges:

…and then wrapped the sides with washi tapes:

The next step was to decorate the inside of the frames – first I covered the inner sides with strips of papers and then added layers of papers inside. I used the Denim&Friends collection – my all-time favourite papers for masculine projects:

First I decorated the photo frames:

…and then additional decorative pieces:

Once I had all the pieces finished, I tried various element designs to make a frame. When I was happy with the layout, I attached them all together with strong double-sided adhesive tape:

Then I took the largest cardboard piece I had in the house 😉 and traced the shape of the frame. I cut out the shape slightly smaller so that the cardboard doesn’t peek outside the frame:

And my Father’s Day box frame was done 🙂

Let’s take a closer look:

I really like the way it turned out: the papers’ colour palette perfectly matches the photos, I used up pieces of boxes I couldn’t use for cards and I made an original gift that can decorate the wall above my husband’s desk 🙂

What do you think of it?

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; metal embellishments: Scrap Hobby; stickers: MAMBI.

And that’s all for today. I hope you liked my tutorial! See you soon!

Hello, our blog fans. I haven’t been here often lately. I’m really sorry. I really hope to post regularly from now on. I received the newest collection but didn’t have time to play with. Today I will show you a really easy card – perfect for any occasion.

I really like to compose a basic background. Combine few collections. Mix & Match is really funny!

I also used to buy digital graphics – like this time I bought the image with birds.

I’m looking forward to working with Denim&Friends. Hope you will like my today’s card. Hugs, Paulina
