Welcome Maja friends!

It’s springtime  and the daffodils are already blooming everywhere, simply wonderful.

I was inspired to combine the bright yellow flowers with a rusty shade.

This radiates the charm of a beautiful old farmer’s garden, I love such beautiful places.

I used again a beautiful background paper from the awesome paper collection ‘Vintage Spring Basics’.

The sheet ‘1st of March’ together with ‘6th and 10th of March’

were absolutely perfect for a mixed media layout in a rustic vintage style.

Hello out blog fans. Have you seen the new mood board challenge? This time we have a great color palette for you.  I decided to create an Easter Card. It’s time of the year when I used to create some cards for my mum. She will use them and send to friends living far away. I really love to create Easter Card. Do you like it too? Hope you will like my project. I’m looking forward to seeing your creations.  Have a lovely day, Paulina

Hello Maja Friends,

This Spring is totally great, so war, so sunny, so happy to feel its smell.

I love mixing the collections and this time is not an exception, so again I played with Vintage Basics – Summer and Spring

Moreover I took the color sprays and the modelling paste I have in my stash and played a bit on my background, it has been a long since I practiced it last time.

And adding the flowers was the most delightful moment.

But paper layers is primary step for me.

Have a wonderful week end.

Hello!

I was inspired to create a new springtime layout in a romantic vintage style.

I love the soft colours in spring, nature awakens from its winter sleep, the sun becomes more beautiful from day to day, the best time to spend more time outdoors again.

I also remember our childhood days when there were no computers to sit in front of for hours.

I thought of blossoming cherry trees when the petals fell like snow.

As background I used the backside of the 4th of May.

Then I tored the 10th of May into several stripes and stuck them on top of each other.

some close up’s

I found the idea of using these calendar pages as layers under the photo very suitable and exciting.

As in every collection there is also a page to cut out with different tags.

As a special highlight I added the cut out little girl in the lower right corner

and created a deep effect with foam pads.

Thanks for your visit!

Happy sunday!

Kerstin

Hi everyone! I hope you are fine. Here in Norway the Spring is close, the snow is gone and the birds have started to sing in the mornings. I think Spring is my favorite time of the year. The days get longer, and the flowers germinate. Its time for a new fresh start! Here in Norway the Spring is also time for Confirmations. And I have had that in mind with these cards. Can you guess which Maja Design Collection I have used for my cards??

Yes of course, the lovely Vintage Spring Basics.

Here you see little Tilda from Magnolia sitting on some steps. She is resting, and maybe looking for something to photograph. I have masked the two stamps together. The lovely text is from Stempelglede. For my colouring I have used Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers. I often stamp with Memento stamp pad, on the Langton Watercolour papers. My brushes are synthetic and I use size 0 and 000.

For the flowers I have used Foamiran. And some dies from Magnolia. I cut them out, blow on them with my heat gun, then curl them a bit, before I stretch the petals out again.

Inside the card I have made a paper strip to put some money behind. And a small card to write a greeting on.

Here is my second card. Made the same way as my first. And with the same flowers.

Here I have used the pink flower stamens. I have made a step by step of how I made the flowers:

Just another close up. The bow is made with Maja papers and a Magnolia die.

Here you can see that I have added Liquid pearls in Tilda’s hair, and around her.

Underneath the flowers I have put some Sisal grass. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here the inside of the card. With beautiful butterfly paper from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design Blog today!

With love,
