Hi, today I have my newest Maja Design layout to share using the Coffee in the Arbour collection.
I love these yellow and maroon colours together, this is a very pretty collection.
I used the Raspberry Lemonade paper as my background, first I cut a square out of the middle to back my photo on.  Next I cut the sides off the Homemade Lemoncurd paper,  I layered the cut pieces under the edges to give more interest.
I added a little colour to my background with some dark pink and yellow splashes, then a Gelato through a grid stencil and modeling paste with a bubble stencil.
I covered my chipboard in white gesso and them went around the edges with a Gelato
I layered some paper under my photo,  as well as some lace and doilies. I cut two tag shapes from the Delicious Moments paper to also tuck under my photo.
Finally I layered on a generous amount of flowers,  chipboard and pearls.

Hi everyone, I hope you all had a wonderful Easter. I definitely enjoyed my long weekend filled with lots of crafting and relaxing.
Today I have a new layout to share with you using the gorgeous pastel colours in the Vintage Spring Basics and Vintage Summer Basics collections
On this layout I have used the papers:  9th of April from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection, plus 1904  1934, and  1924  from the Vintage Summer Basics Collection. I cut the paper into strips and used all four pieces as my background then I used the left over pieces to layer under my photo.
On my background I used Gelato’s in Snow Cone,  Fig and Strawberry through a stencil, and then  I used a word stencil with modeling paste.  Next I used a brick stamp with embossing ink and teal embossing powder.  I also used this same embossing powder on the Mesh chipboard which I tucked in behind my layers,  then a pale purple embossing powder on the chipboard word Cherish.
I embellished my layout with lace, resin, gems and of course loads of flowers.

Hi, today I have some cards to share. I had some pieces of the Vintage Summer Basics paper left over from a previous project so I decided that they were perfect to be made into cards.
These papers are so pretty that I didn’t do anything to them, I just embellished them with some flowers, doilies, lace, ribbon, pearls and chipboard.

I hope this inspires you keep your paper scraps and create some cards
I used the Vintage Summer Basic Papers 1908, 1910, 1922 and 1925
Thanks for visiting

Hi everyone. Today I have an off the page project for you.

Maja March Jewellery box (1)

I brought a Tim Holtz Mini Configuration Book a while ago to make it into a Jewellery Box for my Daughter. She loves pink and the Vintage Summer Basics collection has the most gorgeous pink papers which I decided were prefect for this box.

I used the Vintage Summer Basic Papers 1908, 1910, 1922 and 1925. I started by putting a layer of gesso over the whole thing and then I cut the paper to fit the cover, sides and inside of the book.

I layered lots of pretty embellishments on the cover, some of these are my Daughters favourites from my stash – e.g. the little birds nest and mini birds.

Once the papers were glued on I went over all the edges with distress ink in Vintage Photo

Then I added some lace and pearls to the spine, and to finish off I added pearls to the cover.

On the Inside I covered the larger surfaces with paper, then I took the foam out of some old jewellery boxes to fit inside the smallest squares

Hi everyone, today I have a layout to share with you. For this layout I used the Home For The Holidays collection. Even though this is a Christmas collection the papers are very versatile and can be used on any layout. I love the brown tones in this collection.
My background paper is Together, I started by priming the paper with clear gesso before I added light modeling paste through three different stencils. Most of this was covered up but just enough peaks out from underneath.
I added colour with mists in brown, peach and deep red, then a put on some random stamping to add another layer of depth to my layout.
I made a photo mat for my photo with layers of paper in Traditions and Christmas Chorus. I lightly distressed the edges and layered in a couple of doilies.
I embellished this layout with lots of flowers, metal trinkets, a resin frame, lightbulb, twine, lace, pearls, cheesecloth, and a cute little bird.
The title is Blue Fern Studios Chipboard covered with white embossing powder.
