Hello Maja Friends,

It’s my time to share April inspiration

This time I mixed the papers from different collections, I like to do it from time to time, especially when I have some leftovers after I have finished working on the album

My idea was to create 2 cards, and when you join them together as if they were the parts of the same puzzle.

I mixed Vintage Summer Basics and Life in the Country collections, so perfect for Spring – Summer projects

I miss so much these colors – blue and greens after the long winter

Hope that soon we can enjoy these colors .

Have a good week end

Hello Maja design fans,

Happy Monday, for today’s post i made a layered monochromatic card.I so loved this soft turquoise shades,i have used papers from “Vintage spring basics” and “Vintage  summer basics”.I have used two sheets front and back and layered theme alternately. All the die cuts are also cut from pattern papers.

The flowers are handmade using foamiran sheets,i generally dont make flowers but this is super easy and look so gorgeous(isn’t it?).I have used some chipboard designs and laces amongst the layers. All the layers and die cuts are given a coat of white gesso using dry brush to give a weathered look.

I have also splattered some white paint and added few butterflies to finish off.More close ups for you..

Maja papers used: 1934 , 1934 bs , 6th of march , 6th of march bs

Thank you for stopping by.

Happy crafting

Hello Maja Friends,

February is almost over, and I can’t wait when the Spring comes. I say it each year, but I can hardly bear the winter for so long. So from now I am ready for Spring Floral creations

I really love the Vintage Spring Basics collection, it’s so easy to create with it.

I used mostly one sheet for one card, and used both sides of it.

However the butterflies are so fun

But actually I’ve added the bright colors for the flowers

To my second card I also added the ribbon and lace

This time I decided to use the stip at the paper, that each Maja Design paper sheet has You may think it’s mostly a leftover or apiece to use for your sentiment, however I didn’t cut off it and kept it at the bottom of all my 3 cards.

I’m sure it adds the delicacy to the cards as well as makes the background different.

I used the same sketch again, but actually I combined different colors and papers.

Spring Card by Elena Olinevich for Maja Design1

Sometimes I wonder what else I can do while creating my cards with Maja. New shapes, new floral composition or something else?

It ‘s really can be a challenge somehow, however I enjoy making them.

Recently I’ve started meking several similar cards at once. It saves me the time and allows to experiment with the paper layers, using almost the same sketch.

I do create vertical cards rarely. so it’s a good chance to try something new.
