Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout featuring the I Wish collection even if we are not in winter. I chose a photo I’ve taken during my trip in Prague of the “Horse” from David Černý: a statue of St Wenceslas riding his dead horse upside-down.

I primed the background with clear gesso. When dry, I added a design with a stencil and clear crackle paste which I let dry naturally.

In the meantime, I die cut a few leaves on a watercolor paper and I colored them with differents Twinkling H2Os. I sprayed some flowers with a gold shimmer.

I cut a few papers to add under the photo and I glued the flowers and leaves.

I added some random stamping. To finish the layout, I added some mica flakes and glass glitters.

Hello Sweeties,

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new mixed media layout featuring both the “Enjoying Outdoors” and the “I Wish” collections.

As usual, I primed the background with clear gesso. While it was drying, I prepared a paste with 3D Gloss Gel and the Rust and the Gold Opal Magic Mica Powders. I added a first design with this homemade paste and a stencil.

I prepared a second paste with the Rusty Red Art Alchemy and the Texture Powder: the result is a matte paste. I used a second stencil to add another design and let dry everything.

I painted the orchids with the Rusty Red paint and added more gold to them with the Gold Opal Magic. I die-cut some branches in a watercolor paper.

I colored the background with Moonshadow spray ink and Magicals to match the colors of the photo. I added also some random stamping.

I cut some papers from the I Wish collection to match and add under the photo. I glued all the embellishments with a 3D gel.

Layout

Hello my friends and happy Sunday to all!!!

Mary here with you today to share my latest layout featuring the beautiful ”I Wish” collection. I really love these papers because although it is a Christmas collection can easily be used in non-Christmas pages. Take for example mine…

This time I made a soft romantic page with this beautiful photo, which as always found on Pinterest.  And, before I continue I want to give all the proper credits to the photographer.

Close up 1

For my background, I used the ”I wish to play in the Snow” paper and I made some layers behind my photo with the ”I wish you a Happy new Year”  and the ”I wish for frosty mornings” papers. I also placed some pieces from an old book and made a fussy cutting on some vintage clocks from the Vintage Autumn Basics ”No XVI” paper.

Close up 2

First, I gave my paper a coat of clear gesso and then I added some texture with modeling paste and a stencil. I heat embosed the paste with ”Golden Angel Wings” Lindy’s powder to make the texture more obvious. Then, I used Lindy’s Stamp Gang mists, ”Cowabunga Copper” and ”Cape Cod Coral” with some water to make a watercolor effect.

Close up 3

I heat embossed the floral chipboards and the title with ”Byzantine Bronze”. All the chipboards I used are 2crafty and the flowers are Prima Marketing. The metal embellishments are ”Scrap Unlimited”.

Close up 4

As a final touch, I added some bronze microbeads and some Prima Memory Hardware – Glass Pearls.

Well, that’s all for today, my friends!

See you again in two weeks!

Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with my last post for 2016. I made a final Xmas card with the I Wish collection.

Xmas Card by Pascale

I glued on the base two pieces of papers that I distressed. I die-cut a doily cut in two that I inserted between the two papers.

I cut the sentiment in the I wish Ephemera. I glued some sisal, a couple of flowers,  some die-cut sprigs of holly.

To add some sparkling, I added gold mica flakes as well as gold, green and red glitters.

Good morning, Maja Friends, I’m so happy you’ve found some spare moment in the hot time of Christmas preparations to visit our blog 🙂

I’m in the middle of that fever too, with getting my home ready for 16 people 😉 and so just a quick post today to share an 8×8 layout:

mdmerry

I selected the ecru, red and brown patterns of the I Wish collection to decorate the photo of my boys in their Santa’s angels suits 😉 I layered the red and ecru papers for the background:

mdmerry2

…and added some handmade tags nad the title I cut out from the signature strip:

mdmerry1

I also placed a piece of the signature strip across the photo and added a Santa post stamp from the Ephemera sheet:

mdmerry3

Then I added the flower cluster with glittery diecuts and a berry twig I found in some cheap store a couple of years ago 😉

mdmerry4

I put the layout into a dimensional frame:

mdmerry6

….and it will make a home decor Christmas gift for the Grandparents 🙂

mdmerry5

I hope they’d like it!

Supplies:

Other: dies: Magnolia, no name dies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard: Scrapiniec; bling: Marianne Design; berry twig, button, clip: my stash

And now, before I get back to work, I’d like to thank you for visiting Maja Design blog this year, for your nice comments and appreciation.

I wish you the happiest Christmas and a fabulous creative New Year!
