Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

With all this lockdown thing, as cumbersome as it is, there is one thing positive, I think. We started to notice and appreciate many things in life we’ve so far taken for granted. Going out for dinner, attending a concert, visiting a museum or even a shopping mall – and most of all – meeting with family and friends. We’ve seemed to have forgotten how important that little everyday joys mean to us and now we value them again. I also have some dear friends that I think of more often than I used to. And therefore todya I’m bringing you a card for a friend.

For this card I used the Little Street Cafe collection – that is perfect for a garden scene too 🙂 (and one of the papers is called “Meeting friends”! 🙂 )

I layered some of the flowery patterns from the collection and mixed them with plain Monochrome sheets. My friend is a keen gardener, so I thought this stamped girl image would be perfect for her!

I made a plant using a rose heart mold and a plant pot die cut. I coloured the heart with dye ink markers and covered with glitter, then I “planted” it with a glitter cardstock strip 🙂

Then I added a stamped sentiment and some mini roses:

To finish the card I added some sequins in between the paper layers.

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Joy!, Crea-Lies; stamp: Arine by Lemonade; roses: Wild Orchid Crafts; sequins, bling: my stash.

I do hope my friends would like the card! What do you think?

See you soon!

Hello everyone,

Goodmorning on this lovely Sunday in July, can you believe how fast this year is going we are half way through already. Our little girl turned one year old 4 days ago wow {mommy is getting old lol}! For this layout with Abbey still as my center point as you can imagine.. I used the gorgeous “Little street Cafe” collection combined with the “Celebration” collection {I love the darker colors in this collection} I challenged myself to use more then one pictures so I could capture Abbey’s silly face phase she is such a fun girl but lately she gets angry when we pick her up it must be a phase every kid is going through….Kevin didn’t have that but he is a boy so maybe girls a different.

In this layout I used Abbey her flowered hair band with salmon colored flowers in my layout….I have seen people do that before so I thought well why not me! How are you all doing btw? Hopefully you haven’t lost people that are close to you from this nasty virus…I find it very hard to be at home all day but we have too so much more time to create right? We are on our summer break now just one week left {we have three}….We are painting our house and making it pretty to live in hopefully next year we can go on a nice trip to a warm country or so.

On my layout to can see that I used a text stamp on the background of my pink paper and a stencil of text on the black paper. The chipboard are by The Dusty Attic and the flowers and wishing bubbles are by 49 and Market also I added some prima marketing flowers on this layout.

Behind my pictures and flowers I added some cheesecloth to give my layout a little bit more texture. The sweet memories text I gessod and later on embossed with some black embossing powder by Lindy’s. I really love how this layout turend out. The chipboard leaves are painted with Dusty Attic’s Forrest paint.

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

due to the world pandemic many celebrations have been cancelled or postponed. Traditionally, the First Communions month in Poland is May, but since the restrictions have gradually been lifted onyl recently, the season is only beginng now. And this year we have two kids from our family who will receive their Fisrt Communion and so I made cards form them.

I made the card for my husband’s goddaughter using the Little Street Cafe collection, from which I selected mauve purple papers for a bit of colour. I added a stamped girl image and coloured her so that she has the same dark hair as Amelia. I used a beautiful filigree chipboard host matted with gold metallic circle and a flower cluster beneath:

I completed the design with die-cut grapes and vine leaves and added some subtle shine with opalescent sequins:

I used the same card design for my husband’s nephew First Communion card:

He’s blonde, so I coloured the stamped boy image blonde too. I used the sky blue and neutral papers from the Celebration collection:

I like the way the cards turned out: simple but elegant, dimensional but still fitting into an envelope.

Here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Whiff of Joy; chipoard: Scrapiniec; dies: Spellbinders, CreaLies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and don’t forget to drop by soon for more inspiration!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

As I think it’s quite beneficial for both personal and creative development, from time to time I decide to step outside my comfort zone and try something I haven’t tried yet or I don’t like. And today I bring you the result for the latter: a layout featuring my not-so-favourite colour palette of orange paired with purple.

For this self-challenge I used a photo of my goddaughter taken soon after she was born. I used the Little Street Cafe collection that offers some beautiful orange patterns and eased the pain with a bit of purple and kraft brown. The photo has a rustic feel, so I added a tag cut out of burlap paper, but added a gold filigree panel to relate to the title too 🙂

I also added a couple more of tags and a lot of flowers to decorate the photo, as well as a guardian angel to protect the baby 🙂

The title is arranged with cardboard letters that together with a clock button add to the rustic climate:

Apart from the gold panel, there are some opalescent sequins to add glam on the other hand:

Although it’s not my colour combo of voluntary choice, I still like the way the page turned out. What do you think?

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Cherry Lynn Designs, Crea-Lies; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; button: Fabrika Dekoru; resin angel: Prima; sequins: my stash.

Do you leave your comfort zone sometimes? Do you like the results? Tell me in the comments!

Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Although the pandemic caused closure of schools worldwide, it doesn’t mean studying stopped as well (but perhaps pupils aren’t so happy about it 😉 ). And of course it doesn’t mean teachers stopped working. Running online classes is no less demanding and many claim they spend even more time getting the lessons ready than at school. Most students in Poland won’t be returning to schools before the summer break, but they still want to express their gratitude towards their techaers who help them deal with this difficult situation we’re all in. And so I made two cards thay say “Thank you!”:

They are larger than my usual cards, measuring 15×20 cm (so twice the regular size), I guess these pupils are particularly grateful! 🙂 One is for the headmaster:

…and the other for a Polish language teacher:

The  card for the headmaster features the Little Street Cafe collection and a hand-coloured stamped images of an owl and some books that I also heat-embossed with gold ep. I added a flower cluster and die cut sentiment:

For the Polish language teacher card I used the Celebration collection. The focal point is a book I made from scraps of paper and decorated with flowers made from foamiran and an embossed chipboard sentiment. I also added a beautiful letter-patterned ribbon to look like a bookmark going across the card:

I hope the teachers would like the cards as much as I liked working on them!

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Lemonade, Agateria; dies: Leane Creatief, Nellie Snellen, Marianne Design; flowers: Prima, handmade; chipboard: Wycinanka.pl; embossing powder: Blue Fern Studios; enamel dots: DP Craft; border punch: EK Success; ribbon: Eight.pl.

That’s all for today, stay healthy at home, and see you soon!
