Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Mother’s Day is celebrated throughout the world, though on various days. In Poland the celebration comes on May 26th, so it’s high time to prepare some handmade cards for the occasion ๐Ÿ™‚

I made the card using our latest collection, Everyday Life – despite the name it’s perfect for special days too ๐Ÿ™‚

In the first card I used mini flowers patterns for the background and added a chipboard frame and some lace. On top of that background I put images cut out of one of the elements sheets, added gold thread andย  a chipboard sentiment that I coloured with markers into the ombre effect. I also covered the heart image with glitter:

For the second card I chose the beautiful rose-patterned paper and applied a heart pattern using a stencil and modeling paste. Then I filled the heart with mini roses in colours that matched the paper palette. Then I attached the same chipboard sentiment as in the previous card, but this time I only covered it with opalescent glitter, I completed the design with delicate lace and string bows:

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; chipboard pieces, stencil, paste: Agateria, lace: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

May is traditionally the month of First Communions in Poland, and as it’s a very important celebration for many kids, cards for the occasion are hugely popular. And so today I bring you two cards I made, for a boy and a girl.

While I used the beautiful Miles Apart collection for my cards, I focused on papers you would normally not see, or just not use at all ๐Ÿ˜‰ because I used only one patterned paper, and the main background is with a Monochrome set paper, while for the decorative border on both cards I used the back sides of signature strips that you normally cut off and throw away ๐Ÿ™‚ I love that Maja Design uses even those tiny scraps to give you beautiful patterns!

As you can see, I used the same design for both cards, and they differ only by border patterns and main images of boy and girl.

Apart from the background, I used the Monochrome papers for the leaves in the flower clusters too:

And so, although Monochrome sets that go with many of the Maja collections are meant to complement the patterned papers, they also make beautiful background by themselves, as each Monochrome set is designed with their own subtle patterns.

Here’s what I used for the cards:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: I Love Craft, Spellbinders; punch: DpCraft; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps: Agateria.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Spring seems to have settled for good, with the sun appearing for longer, birds chirping and flowers starting to bloom. Therefore I had no choice but to bring you a cheerful layout today ๐Ÿ™‚

Doesn’t she look like the lady spring herself?

I made the layout using the Miles Apart collection, which is just perfect for delicate, girly projects due to a selection of soft pinks nad greens and flowery patterns. I layered several pieces of various papers, added hand cut tags, flower clusters and some embellishments.

I arranged the title with sticker alphabet letters and die-cut words:

The clear gems I used to finish off the page and the glitter words of the title glimmer beautifully against the light, adding to the lightness of the page:

I really like the way it turned out, delicate and joyful like the sunny spring day ๐Ÿ™‚

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: Kesi’Art; flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; clock face: Maya Road; sticker alphas: October Afternoon; butterfly: UHK Gallery; wing: my stash.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and have a Happy Easter!

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Easter is coming soon, so it’s high time to share some card inspiration for the occasion ๐Ÿ™‚ For my first cards this year I chose spring flowery backgrounds to emphasize the joy of this important celebration!

I made both cards using the Miles Apart collection that with its beautiful patterns and cheerful soft colours is just perfect for the purpose ๐Ÿ™‚

For the first cards I used the green-white-gold combo, with the Easter Lamb as the focal point, and added some mini flowers to match the flowers in the background paper:

For the second card I added some juicy pink magenta to the colour palette and decorated the stamped and embossed Easter song quotation with chipboard filigree Easter eggs and mini flowers cluster:

I really love how the papers accent the character of the holiday, and adding gold to cheerful green and pink gave the cards elegant festive look.

Here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: dies: CreaLies; flowers: Wild Orchid Crafts; stamps, chipboard, ep: Agateria.

That’s all for today, thank you for visiting and see you soon!

Enjoy Today

Good morning, dear Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today ๐Ÿ™‚

Since my last post the world has changed… With the war being right behind the borders of my country, it’s obvious we feel shocked, anxious, worried and uncertain. But at the same time the amount of goodness and solidarity towards attacked people is amazing, so I do believe there is still hope for humanity! Also, dire times like these make us so aware of the fact how short life is and how important is to appreciate and enjoy every little moment! And that’s what my layout I’m sharing today is about:

I made the layout the illustrate the importance of relations between people, and the fact that how we behave towards others is what defines us as human beings, and in the end it’s all we have. No money can buy the feeling of being loved and cared for.

I used the Bohemian Harmony collection as it is just perfect to express the above! Just take a look at those words printed in the background, so true and accurate:

For my title and journaling I used expressions printed on signature strips:

The I completed my design with hand-cut tags, flowers and metal embellishments:

I really hope the world would finally turn right and we all would go back to normal! So that our children can enjoy every single moment of their lives.

Here’s what I used for my page:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Prima, Wild Orchid Crafts; metal embellishments: Mitform; sequins: my stash.
