Hello again dear Maja fans.

We still have a amazing summer over here in the Netherlands with lots of sun and warm temperatures. They are even talking about a heatwave next week.

So in order to cool down a little , I made this Christmas card , you never start too early making them right? Maybe this year I will be done in time instead of making them at the last minute.

This one I made with some leftovers from projects I made earlier with the Vintage Frost Collection.

To create snow the snow on the edges I used Finnabair art extravagance paper texture paste.

To create dimension on the card I used foamtape to stick the pieces together.

Thank you very much for your visit, I hope I was able to give you some inspiration with this card.

Find yourself and be that

Hello sweet Maja fans

Here I am again and this time I bring you a tag/label inspired by the moodboard of this month.

I am so in love with the colors , freshness and theme of this one I had to create another project using it.

I really really love my Maja papers and so safe every little snippet, call me crazy but I just do . I hate trowing them a way.

All that saving gives me a lot of leftovers, so I set myself a challenge to every time I create something I must create something else with the leftovers.

So I made this tag with the snippets I had left from the layout I made for the moodboard challenge.

I also used the little chipboard bricks from the wall thing ( sorry have no idea how to call it) I used on my layout to make a new wall.

I found this inspiring  quote /saying on a sheet of word stickers from  7 dots studio . I can relate to it so now my label got a nice spot in my craftroom where I can see it often.

Hope you like my  label/tag and maybe I even gave you some more inspiration to join us at the moodboard challenge. Hope to see you there.

The chippies I used are from scrappiniec, the flower from prima , lace and ribbon from my stash, doily is a die from studiolight .

I used left overs from Vintage spring basics 4th of april 10th of march and Sofiero Princess Margareta’s garden.

Thank you very much for visiting,  please come back tomorrow to see another creation of one of the Maja Girls.

Hello dear friends!

Mary here with you sharing my latest layout for my May inspiration. This time I made a colorful page with lots of flowers, laces, chipboards and metal embellishments and I choose a dark paper to combine them. I don’t really remenber if I have already told how much I love that combination. The contrast is just amazing!

As you may already know, I love searching on Pinterest to find photos to scrap and this time I came across with that beautiful photo. And, the new gorgeous ”Celebration” collection was just perfect for it. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

For my background I used the ”Ephemera” paper on the back side. To start, I gave my background a coat of clear gesso and I applied a small amount of white gesso behinde my combosition. When it was dried, I added some texture with paper texture paste and a stencil.

I made some stamping here and there and then I heat embossed the patterns with the ”Venus Violet Blue” and the ”Sunset Yellow Orange” Lindy’s Gang embossing powders. Continued by coloring my page with the ”Tea Pot Purple” and the ”Magnolia Magenta Gold” Lindy’s sprays.

I painted the ”Small Scroll #2” flourish chipboard with the Sparks ”Iris Potion” acrylic paint.  The ”Clockworks Small” chipboard was also painted with the metallique ”Steampunk Copper” paint. The chipboards I used are Dusty Attic.

When everything was glued down, I added some art stones and sprinkled some glitter on them. The final touch was made with some splatters with white ink.

Papers used:

That’s all for today, my friends!

Thank you for stopping by!

Goodmorning lovely Maja Fans,

Are you enjoying the spring weather…here in The Netherlands we had some pretty sunny days but that is over now, sadly but hopefully soon we can enjoy the sun again. For today I have a layout to share. Two weeks ago my computer died on me and I could not post my project {sorry for that} but now my husband fixed that and I can edit my work again yeah. This layout is made with two collections “Celebration” & “Denim and Friends” and Camilla her lovely daughter Freja <3 is on the picture.

On the beackground of my layout I added the pretty waterdrops stamp by Gabrielle Pollacco {still one of my favorite stamps sets ever} but before I added that stamp I used two other stamps to one crackle and one script stamp. After prepairing my background I treated my chipboard pieces with several acrylic paints layered on top of each other to get a worndown look.

After I treated the chipboards I added my flower clusters. Then I took my photograph and layered it on two sheets of the 6×6 paper pads then I placed it on top of the chipboard frame to get more dimension.  At the end I took out a letter sticker sheet from webster pages and made the word bliss and in that corner I placed a metal piece.

At the end I used some of my white spray and gesso to lighten up my flowers and papers…but I also added some art stones and some sea shells. I think that is it on how I created this layout. I had a lot of fun also because we have a son and I really enjoy making layouts with girls being the focal point.

Maja Design papers used: Celebration: Glamour bs & Champagne bs, Denim & Friends: Streetwear bs.

Thank you very much for your visit, I hope I have inspired you to go and create something beautiful with your Maja papers. Have a wonderful & sunny day!

Love xoxo
