Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer with you today. I have made the mini album on thick tags ( I have used the tim holt sizzix die for making the tags and cutting the papers from the great Denim and Friends collection).

For now I have put the pictures from the die cut sheet in the album, but they are not sticked and can be easily replaced by the real photos.

as always, I prefer to use kraft/black accents in my masculine projects. And this collection was also calling for deep blue shades.  aren’t these pictures the cutest? they also come in the paper pads.  some close ups:  also all type of stars look great on the men voted projects, and if you find (or just color the hearts in black) even they will look appropriate here:)

the glorious Denim and Friends collection:

Have a lovely weekend,

Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Today I have a layout to share featuring one of my most favourite collections, Denim & Friends. It is so great for masculine projects, and was just perfect for the photos of my younger son being so happy and proud about wearing the same T-shirt as his daddy 🙂

I first layered blue papers in the background to make a nice clear contrest against the woodboard paperthat matched the background of the photos. I distressed all the edges.

I addded the title made of various stickers and also used chipboard stars to mat and mount the photos a bit:

I added various metal embellishments:

…but also some flowers and druzy stones: who says boys don’t like a little bling? 😉 But not to make it too sweet I splashed some black ink here and there as the finishing touch:

Here’s the list of the supplies I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers: Blue Fern Studios, Petaloo; stickers: Prima, American Crafts; chipboard: Latarnia Morska; clockface and game spinner: Tim Holtz; bling, gears: my stash.

I really like the way the layout turned out – what do you think?

See you later!

Hello and welcome back to the home of Maja Designs. Tina Ollett back with you today to share my first layout using the gorgeous new collection of “Denim and Friends”.

This project has been titled

“You are Awesome”……

2017-07-18 You are awesome 019 (1024x1016)

Opening my box of goodies from the lovely ladies at Maja Designs was a definite hightlight of my week. My squeals of pure joy and excitement brought a number of my family members walking down to the art room to find out exactly what was going on.

2017-07-18 You are awesome 012 (1024x768)

Doing pretty layouts with copious amounts of flowers and embellishments is my go to thing for most projects, but today because this is mainly a masculine paper collection, I have opted to use a photo of my son who is quite happy not to be the centre of attention ever especially in my scrapbooking, but today it is! I captured this photo of him a number of years ago whilst we were on holidays at the Great Barrier Reef. We were on our way out to the reef on a very windy day and he was so very excited to be going snorkeling. The photo says it all.

2017-07-18 You are awesome 014 (768x1024)

I decided to keep this layout very simple with layering of all this fabulous collection. Of course I love to use woodgrain patterns to custom make the design for my chipboards and photo to sit. I used 2 sheets of Wood to create this using the first for the background page.

I have also added in the bs of Leather ( I also love polkadots) as a square frame to sit all of the cut wood to sit upon. And over this I have cut sections of Stonewashed to lay over this. My photo is also matted with Stonewashed.

I have also used sheets of papers from the Vintage Autumn Basics collection, cutting some of the hot air balloons for embellishments to add to my project.

2017-07-18 You are awesome 015

I have also used lots of yummy Dusty Attic chipboards to emphasise my photo. These were inked and painted and layered amongst the layers of papers to allow more dimension to my layout.

Well that is all from me today. I hope you enjoyed your visit. Remember to return tomorrow for another Design Team creation. Until then take care and happy crafting. xxx

Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Last time I shared my first layout(s) using the fabulous Denim&Friends collection, and I said I couldn’t stop cutting 😉

Masculine projects are usually difficult, even if you’re surrounded by boys 😉 But with this collection is just pure pleasure! Not only do you get a dozen of beautiful “masculine” patterns, but also a sheet full of men in jeans! 😉 I used two of those images to make two birthday cards for men. The first one is for a musician:

mdmasculine1

I layered several patterns in the background and added linen ribbon before I placed a guitar man image. Then I added screw-shaped brads and a music notes paper clip that can be detached and used for keeping music sheets together 🙂

mdmasculine4

I die-cut the sentiment and matted it with glitter cardstock, then added a piece of signature strip from one of the papers:

mdmasculine2

The other card is an 18-th birthday card:

mdmasculine3

I again layered some various patterns and placed the image on top, adding a metal charm on a piece of linen string. Then I added die-cut digits and some metal pointers:

mdmasculine5

I used the same die for the sentiment, but this time I didn’t mat it and it’s readable through the contrast between papers:

mdmasculine6

I am really pleased with the result – what do you think?

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: die: Rosy Owl, Memory Box; metal pointers: Making Memories; brads: Rayher; paper clip: Prima; acrylic gems: ScrapBerry’s; star charm, string, linen ribbon: my stash.

See you soon!
