Hello, and welcome to all of our friends of the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy with you on the blog on this lovely day. I’m having a joyful day filled with flower making, stamping, and playing with my pretty Maja Design papers, all of which has led to this new card to share with you.

I’m using Maja Design’s Fika collection again this week, because I absolutely love purple, and this collection is filled with every hue of this beloved color. I’m working primarily with the deepest purple in the collection (almost a purple-blue), with accents in lighter tones.

I’m like a kid at Christmas with some new stamps I have in my collection, and have been happily stamping away, finding new ways to use them to enhance my projects.

I’m also in flower making mode. I love creating flowers from Maja Design papers. It’s the best paper I’ve ever found for this purpose, and when I take the time to make my own, my flowers perfectly coordinate with each project. I have tutorials for these roses on my blog for anyone who would like to give them a try.

The leaves are die cut and tucked in amongst the florals, along with autumnal berries resin frames, and a natural twine bow.

I’m now sitting at my very messy craft desk, blissfully surrounded by layer upon layer of Maja Design goodness, and I’m counting my blessings to have had a chance to create something today. Taking the time to use our hands, minds, and energy doing something we love is so important to our mental and physical health. I hope you’ll be able to find some quiet moments in your day to bring your masterpieces to life.

Other Products Used: Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies and Distress Tool, Magnolia Rose Leaf Die, Flower Shaping Tools, Seth Apter Stamp, Unlabeled Sentiment Stamp, Archival Ink, Prima Resin Frames, Natural Twine, Acrylic Paint and Brushes, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Don’t forget to take part in the monthly mood board challenge for the chance to win an entire collection of your choice of Maja Design paper. I wish a very happy hello to all of our friends at the Maja Design Blog! I hope you’re having a lovely Monday. It’s Nancy with you today. I’ve been away since May due to a shoulder injury, and can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be mostly recovered and back in my craft room again. I have a new card to share with you featuring Maja Design’s Fika collection, and my favorite color; purple.

Each layer of paper is distressed and stitched. A bouquet of handmade flowers provides a cheery focal point, with die cut rose leaves and  loopy twine bows entwined throughout.

I have a few new stamp sets I’m using with this card. I’ve been waiting a long time to be back with all my crafty goodies, and couldn’t resist bringing them out to play!

If you look closely you’ll find resin butterflies fluttering amongst the blooms.

Finally, a touch of gesso for a shabby chic finish.

I wish a happy to hello to all of our wonderful visitors at the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, and I’m thrilled to join you on the blog today. I have a brand new all occasion card to share.

Once again I’m quite inspired by pastels, which I attribute to the beautiful weather and long sunny days, and the lovely Sofiero collection is just what I’m looking for!

Each paper is distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. A paper doily anchors the lush bouquet of paper flowers.

Twine bows add a frilly  and feminine touch. The sentiment is part of the paper collection, no stamping needed for this one! I did a bit of stamping with a script stamp to add a bit of interest, then added a dusting of gesso.

Below is a peek of the interior of the card. I always try to coordinate it with the front.

Hello, dear friends! I’m so happy you’re here with us on this wonderful Monday. It’s Nancy on the blog with you, here to share a new card. I hope everyone who is a mother had a lovely Mother’s Day, at least in the U.S., as I know it’s on a different day in other countries.

Today’s card is created for my daughter’s birthday. I want her to have a card with all of my love put into it. That’s really what crafting and art are about for me; putting my heart and soul into a creation that will hopefully brighten someone’s day. I’ve been drawn to pastels recently, which seems to happen this time of year, so for this card I’m using the beautiful Coffee in the Arbor collection.

The two large flowers are crafted from the paper collection, with the addition of smaller purchased flowers to bring out the pretty yellows in the paper.

The florals sit atop a base of venice lace and are intertwined with a loopy twine bow.

Each layer of paper is distressed and stitched. The sentiment stamp is perfect for my sweet girl’s birthday.

Below is a peek at the interior of the card.

Welcome, friends! It’s Nancy with you on the Maja Design Blog. I’m thrilled you’re visiting with us on this beautiful day. Spring is well and truly arrived offering up it’s gifts of bright and beautiful flowers. I look out of my craft room window and marvel at the blooms in my garden, which are my inspiration for today’s card. I’m drawn once again to Maja Design’s Coffee in the Arbour paper collection. The colors are so fresh and cheery, just like a spring day!

Design papers are distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. Handmade florals crafted from design papers are the focal point of the card. Frothy lace and loopy twine bows add a feminine touch.

Below is a close up of the stamped sentiment. I enjoying creating cards to keep on hand to suit multiple occasions, and this one will be perfect for those times I need a last minute card.

The curlicues are made by twisting strips of design paper around the tiny end of a paint brush. A script stamp adds a bit of interest to the corners.

Below is a peek of the interior of the card. Coordinating design papers and script stamping give a cohesive appearance with the front of the card.
