Good morning, Maja Friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

I don’t know about your places, but in Poland autumn more often than not is cool, rainy and windy (although we do have a term “golden Polish autumn”, meaning the warm time with all those fabulous colours!), with temperatures discouragin any outdoor activity 😉 So it’s the best time to curl up under a soft blanket, grab a cup of raspberry tea and indulge oneself in reading! And therefor for my today’s post I’m sharing two bookmarks I made for my sweet cousin and her husband 🙂

mdbookm

My cousin likes greens and purples, so I chose these colours from the Ska Vi Ta En Fika? collection for her bookmark and added golden accents:

mdbookm5

I embossed the stamped Bible quotation with golden ep and then made a watercolour background using the embossing resist technique. I also tied some charms at the top:

mdbookm6

mdbookm7

The back side of the bookmark features gorgeous purple roses background, and my cousin’s initial and a stamped “I’m reading here” sentiment 🙂

mdbookm8

The bookmark for her husband is made exactly in the same way, though I used a different stamp and colour palette, based on the Denim & Friends collection (love!). I also used decorative signature strips as borders:

And the back side:

And here’s what I used:

Maja Design papers:

Other: stamps: Prima Marketing, Lemonade, Art Parts; charms: Marianne Design, Rayher; dies: Crealies; inks: Ranger.

I do hope the bookmarks will make the reading even more pleasant for my family 🙂 What do you think?

See you later!

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer here with you today and I wanted to share with you two beautiful envelopes in which you can gift either money or a gift card. Our-days these type or presents seem to be more appropriate in some occasions. But its always nice to present something beautifully.

I have some special feelings for Ska vi ta en Fika collection, I just love those purple/lavender shades and can play with it for long time.konv1_fika_majadesign_petzerkonv2and some close ups:konv_det1 konv_det2 lots of different flowers, laces and pearlskonv_det3The envelopes are “closed” with this die cut lacekonv_det4Once again, I have used Ska vi ta en Fika:

Good morning, Maja Design friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

With November coming to an end, I think it’s time to think of Christmas presents, especially if you intend making them yourselves. And so today I have a girly diary to share.

mddor

As the little lady, who will be writing her secrets in this notebook, likes purples, I chose to work with the Ska Vi Ta En Fika? collection with a bit of the Vintage Spring Basics set, which offered both cold and warm shades of purple, paired with browns and greens too. And so I adapted the same palette for the diary. I layered some papers on the front cover:

mddor2

…added a ribbon bow and a butterfly charm on the wire:

…and decorated the front with a stamped and hand-coloured image:

On the inner cover, I added the girl’s monogram in a decorative heart on the background of the butterfly and plaid patterns:

mddor4

There’s also a bonus stamped image at the back of the diary:

mddor5

…and a little envelope to put in special secrets 🙂

mddor6

I hope the girl would like her secret diary 🙂

And here’s what I used to make it:

Papers: Ska Vi Ta En Fika?: Nybakat, Chaite, Mandelkaka, Lejas café; Vintage Spring Basics: 11th of April BS, 9th of April BS. Other: stamps: Magnolia, Basic Grey; ribbon, twine: Rayher, charm, plate: my stash.

Have you started making your Christmas gifts yet?

Hello Sweeties,

I’m up on Maja Design blog with a new set of cards featuring the Ska vi ta en Fika collection.

Autumn_PB

I kept the design simple. I just cut a background paper.

Autumn_detail1_PB

Then I die cut a doily, added a few strip of paper, as well as some sisal.

Autumn_detail2_PB

I also die cut some leaves in the Pratstund paper.

Autumn_detail4_PB

Then I added a few flowers and some mica flakes and micro beads.

Autumn_detail5_PB

I followed the same process for the second card. A background paper, a die-cut doily, …

… a few strip of papers, flowers, leaves, and glitters and micro beads as a finishing touch.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout published in Histoires de Pages n°63, a french magazine.

Fleurs by Pascale B.

I started to apply a matte gel medium to protect the paper. Then I added a thin layer of white gesso and some orange Silks with a brayer.

I covered the chipboards with black gesso and some Rust Mica Powder, except one which I colored with a Twinkling H2O and the same Mica Powder. I colored the flowers with some Twinkling H2Os too.

I added some blue and green bisters to the background to remind the water reflection.

I used a 3D matte gel to glue all the embellishments.

I finished with some random stamping and splatters.
