Hi everyone! I hope you are all fine! I am having my Easter Holiday now, and the weather is so lovely, sun and warmer day by day. Therefor I wanted to show you a pop up card I made with the gorgeous spring papers from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection.

Perfect papers for any Spring card!

This cute image is from Magnolia. And I have coloured it with Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers. I think this image is my favorite one.

Here are two hedgehogs playing around.

Here from the side you can see how I have built up the card.

A close up.

And here the card when you close it. I have many layers of papers, so it is quite thick. Hope you like it, and I wish you a wonderful Easter!

With love,

Two folder cards for you today!

Hi everyone! I hope you are fine. Here in Norway the Spring is close, the snow is gone and the birds have started to sing in the mornings. I think Spring is my favorite time of the year. The days get longer, and the flowers germinate. Its time for a new fresh start! Here in Norway the Spring is also time for Confirmations. And I have had that in mind with these cards. Can you guess which Maja Design Collection I have used for my cards??

Yes of course, the lovely Vintage Spring Basics.

Here you see little Tilda from Magnolia sitting on some steps. She is resting, and maybe looking for something to photograph. I have masked the two stamps together. The lovely text is from Stempelglede. For my colouring I have used Distress Ink, re-inkers and Markers. I often stamp with Memento stamp pad, on the Langton Watercolour papers. My brushes are synthetic and I use size 0 and 000.

For the flowers I have used Foamiran. And some dies from Magnolia. I cut them out, blow on them with my heat gun, then curl them a bit, before I stretch the petals out again.

Inside the card I have made a paper strip to put some money behind. And a small card to write a greeting on.

Here is my second card. Made the same way as my first. And with the same flowers.

Here I have used the pink flower stamens. I have made a step by step of how I made the flowers:

Just another close up. The bow is made with Maja papers and a Magnolia die.

Here you can see that I have added Liquid pearls in Tilda’s hair, and around her.

Underneath the flowers I have put some Sisal grass. The roses are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

Here the inside of the card. With beautiful butterfly paper from the Vintage Spring Basics Collection.

Thank you so much for visiting the Maja Design Blog today!

With love,

Spring messengers

Welcome Maja friends!

Spring has started and everywhere you can see snowdrops, crocus and winterlings.

The first signs of spring have reached us.

So I was inspired to create a layout in delicate pastel shades.

I have used one of my favorite collections for my layout, the  Maja Design ‘Vintage Spring’ collection

and chose ‘1st of April ‘ and ‘6th of May’.

Vintage-Spring-Basics-P

some close up’s

I covered some chippies with Heavy Gel and added some small Mini Art Stones.

As always, I hope you will be inspired and enjoyed how I built up the layers with corrugated cardboard

to create the dimension on this piece.

If you do need any further inspiration, then look no further than our blog to see all the wonderful creations

from all the very talented Design Team members.

Happy sunday !

Listen to your heart

Hello dear friends!

Mary with you today and I have a new layout to share with you made for my February inspiration. I used papers from the gorgeous ”Vintage Spring Basics” collection along with some of my favorite Dusty Attic chipboards and 49 and Market flowers which I placed around a beautiful photo I found on Pinterest. But, before I continue more I want to give all the proper credits to the ”unknown” photographer.

I choose for my page the ”9th of April” paper and made two layers on it using both sides of the ”11th of April” paper from the gorgeous  ”Denim & Friends” collection. I started by applying a coat of clear gesso on the background and then I created texture with modeling paste and a stencil.

Made some stamping here and there and used a Lindy’s Gang spray to add color.

Next, I painted all the chipboards with Finnabair acrylic paints.

When everything was glued down I added some art stones and glass beads. The final touch was made with some splatters with white acrylic ink.

Papers used:

I hope you enjoyed my project!

Thank you for stopping by!

These are treasured memories

Goodmorning Maja Design Fans,

So nice of you to visit the Maja Design blog today, I am back again posting on this lovely blog, it’s been a while since my last post. Hope you did not miss me too much ;-). For today I have a layout to share that I made for a nice lady who contacted me because she wanted to give her parents a present for their 50th year wedding anniversary. I did replace the pictures because she did not wanted them online….on the pictures you see my parents in law.

I took the dark blues and soft yellow tones from both collections because I think that is a lovely combination. The chipboard I used are off course The Dusty Attic & the flowers are by 49 and Market. On the background I used several stencils by different companies. Let’s have a closer look.
