Maja Gift Bags etc Feb

Hello there Maja fans, thanks for calling by. Today I thought I would do something a little different for me & I have two sweet little gift bags & a card to share with you.

gift bag 1

For this gift bag I have used the  “11th of April” paper from the “Vintage Spring Basics” collection. I had purchased a “We R Memory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board” & wow I sure did have some fun making these gift bags. Once I got the hang of how to use it, it made making gift bags sooo easy.  I have used some raffia for the handles & decorated this one  with some flowers, a bow & a couple of little hand cut doileys. I then added a sentiment sticker  & a dragonfly, and hey presto, all finished. 🙂

For my second gift bag I used the “10th April” paper also from the “Vintage Spring Basics” collection. This range is soooo beautiful & what better colour to team with these gorgeous shades of mauves & purples, but green !! My favourite colour. Again I made this on the “gift bag punch board”. I  have also used flowers, a bow & I die cut some various elements to finish it off. I enjoy making my gifts look pretty so a co ordinating gift bag & a card are the perfect way to achieve this.

Lastly I have this super simple card I made using the “Garden Moments” paper from the “Enjoying Outdoors” collection. Even though this paper was from a different paper collection I think it teams perfectly with my gift bags. This particular paper is a card makers dream. (see it below) These images are just devine & are perfect for a card. To add a little dimension I stuck a little posie of mauve roses tied with a little string on the front  a few sequins 🙂

Hi my name is Di Garling. I am married to a very patient man, I have two grown up sons, two grandchildren & a little dog. I owned & operated a Scrapbook shop for eight years here in Australia until I recently sold it & retired. I think retirement is the best kept secret. I love it, it gives me lots of time to enjoy my craft. I still teach scrapbooking & cardmaking once or twice a week, so all in all I am as busy as ever & wouldn't have it any other way.
