Hello, Maja Design Fans – welcome to the blog today 🙂
DO you miss spring? I just can’t wait! I’m fed up with this non-wintery cool rainy winter and I need the sun to shine warmly again! And so I grabbed the fresh and delicate Vintage Spring Basics collection and created this layout:
I opted for an almost monochromatic blue palette with darker, brown and black accents. For my background I chose the 4th of March paper, tore it diagonally and folded out the torn edge, forming a kind of pocket that I layered upon the 6th of April bs sheet. The I added some stamping:
I matted my photo with pieces of various papers from the collection and begin to arrange the flower cluster along the edge of the “pocket”. I added some felt branches and metal charms too:
I stamped and cut out the large bird image and placed it as if perched on the paper edge. Funny how my son in the photo and the bird are both side-looking 🙂
I just love the dimension I got! 🙂 But then the problem with dimensional layouts is how to store them! What’s your solution?
Supplies:
Maja Design papers: Vintage Spring Basics: 4th of March, 7th of March bs, 6th of April, 7th of April. Other: branches, leaves, flowers, nest: Prima; stamps: Prima, Tim Holtz, die: Penny Black; charms, button: my stash.
I really like the way it turned out, delicate and fresh as first spring flowers 🙂 And I do hope the spring comes soon!
