Good morning, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂
Have you purchased our latest collection yet? I can tell you it’s just wonderful! One collection to use for traditional green and red Christmas projects and blue and white wintery creations. And of course some universal patterns you can use for just about anything you create 🙂
For my today’s post I decided to share two Christmas cards I made using the blue-red palette, as I already created some red and green ones (see the Moodboard challenge post 😉 ):
In the first card I used a St.Nicholas image from the Ephemera sheet (small pad) and mounted it a bit on tags I cut out of various papers to add some nice pattern combo in the background. Then I added the flower cluster including winter leaves I die cut from glitter cardstock.
I also included little banners I cut out of signature strips – I just love using these bonus mini patterns!
For the second card I used a stamped image that I coloured with Distress inks. Then I placed it on the background of layered papers, including the one I stamped the vintage postcard on:
For the flower cluster I also used die-cut leaves and a Petaloo flower. I inked the corners of my coloured image and added some liquid pearls “snow”:
Though I’m more for the traditional Christmas reds and greens, I really like the way those blue babies turned out 🙂
And here’s what I used:
Maja papers:
Other: stamps: Whiff of Joy, Docrafts; flowers: Petaloo, Wild Orchid Crafts; dies: Sizzix, Magnolia, Craft&You Design; chipboard: Scrapiniec; bling, felt snowflake: Home&You; ribbon, snowflake stones: my stash.
See you soon!
