Today we will tribute and say goodbye to our beloved and supertalented Silje Kristin who has decided to step down from the team. She is a totally amazing artist and we will really miss her wonderful creations. Her way to alter different projects is just magical.

Hello and Season’s Greetings. Jennifer Snyder here today to share some Christmas Cards that were created from our friends around the world.

Recently Maja Design held a Christmas Card challenge on Facebook. We asked followers on Facebook to share their Christmas Cards with us and were surprised and amazed at the jaw dropping responses. Gorgeous and clever cards poured in from all over – United Kingdom, Spain, Russia, USA, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Ukraine, Australia, and many other places.

I can’t think of any better way to say Merry Christmas than to present the Christmas cards in the order they were entered. You can see all the entries right here. Thanks to all who posted Christmas Cards!

Hi sweeties,

Thank you for coming by this Monday. So, it’s all of the sudden December and time for some Christmas preparations. Are you as surprised as me, and wonder what really happened with this past year..? 😉 It’s the same every year, I believe.
Now, I’m looking forward to a really amazing 2017. It will be a year filled with surprices and celebration (yeah, MajaDesign is turning 10 years next year!!) and a lot of wonderful inspiration on the blog of course. ♥
But, first, I want to present the new mood board challenge. I really hope to see many, beautiful creations this month. So, don’t forget to share this with all your friends..!

This is how we use the mood boards:

[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We are using mood boards for our challenges. We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We will pick a winner and present it here on the blog December 26th.

Have in mind that these challenges are a really great way for us to discover new talents and maybe some future Creative Team members…

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you’ll like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use Maja papers primarily! Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed the last Monday each month, at the Maja blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

We need your creation December 22nd at the latest.

Hi Sweeties,

The Christmas season is approaching inch by inch, and I’m totally loving every second of it.
Here, in our part of Sweden, the snow has already come and gone – but we really hope to see some again, before the big day.. ♥ Don’t you just love to watch the pure happiness in the children’s faces when they’re outside playing in the snow? That’s pure happiness for me.

Christmas is all about joy, happiness and some magic, and I just have to say – that was just what I experienced when I received all these fabulous contributions from all of you. Just like a little Christmas eve, just for me.. 😉 Thank you all, so much, for your effort. We really appreciate it! ♥
