Hello, and welcome to all of our friends of the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy with you on the blog on this lovely day. I’m having a joyful day filled with flower making, stamping, and playing with my pretty Maja Design papers, all of which has led to this new card to share with you.

I’m using Maja Design’s Fika collection again this week, because I absolutely love purple, and this collection is filled with every hue of this beloved color. I’m working primarily with the deepest purple in the collection (almost a purple-blue), with accents in lighter tones.

I’m like a kid at Christmas with some new stamps I have in my collection, and have been happily stamping away, finding new ways to use them to enhance my projects.

I’m also in flower making mode. I love creating flowers from Maja Design papers. It’s the best paper I’ve ever found for this purpose, and when I take the time to make my own, my flowers perfectly coordinate with each project. I have tutorials for these roses on my blog for anyone who would like to give them a try.

The leaves are die cut and tucked in amongst the florals, along with autumnal berries resin frames, and a natural twine bow.

I’m now sitting at my very messy craft desk, blissfully surrounded by layer upon layer of Maja Design goodness, and I’m counting my blessings to have had a chance to create something today. Taking the time to use our hands, minds, and energy doing something we love is so important to our mental and physical health. I hope you’ll be able to find some quiet moments in your day to bring your masterpieces to life.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Other Products Used: Tim Holtz Tattered Florals Dies and Distress Tool, Magnolia Rose Leaf Die, Flower Shaping Tools, Seth Apter Stamp, Unlabeled Sentiment Stamp, Archival Ink, Prima Resin Frames, Natural Twine, Acrylic Paint and Brushes, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Thank you so much for joining us on the blog! Your visit is a bright spot in in our day, and we hope you’ll be back each and every day to check out new projects from the design team. Don’t forget to take part in the monthly mood board challenge for the chance to win an entire collection of your choice of Maja Design paper. I wish a very happy hello to all of our friends at the Maja Design Blog! I hope you’re having a lovely Monday. It’s Nancy with you today. I’ve been away since May due to a shoulder injury, and can’t tell you how thrilled I am to be mostly recovered and back in my craft room again. I have a new card to share with you featuring Maja Design’s Fika collection, and my favorite color; purple.

Each layer of paper is distressed and stitched. A bouquet of handmade flowers provides a cheery focal point, with die cut rose leaves and  loopy twine bows entwined throughout.

I have a few new stamp sets I’m using with this card. I’ve been waiting a long time to be back with all my crafty goodies, and couldn’t resist bringing them out to play!

If you look closely you’ll find resin butterflies fluttering amongst the blooms.

Finally, a touch of gesso for a shabby chic finish.

Hello and welcome to the Maja Design Blog! I hope this post finds you well. It’s Nancy, and I’m beyond delighted to be here with you on this lovely spring day.

As you know, I love every single collection that Maja Design creates. Each is timeless and compliments the other designs beautifully, but the Vintage Basics collections are truly my go-to papers. I simply can’t do without them! It seems the perfect time of year to relish the season’s exquisite gardens, so I’m sharing this new ‘Le Jardin’ card crafted from Maja Design’s Vintage Summer Basics papers.

I don’t believe I’ve ever used this gorgeous floral pattern before. It’s deliciously shabby chic. I don’t know how this pattern escaped me for so long, but I’m making it right today.

Each paper is distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. I’m feeding my addiction to flower making with these blooms that are handcrafted from the paper collection.

The florals are layered over a backdrop of pretty, die cut ovals. A resin timepiece is tucked away in the corner. An abundance of die cut sprigs and leaves are interspersed throughout the bouquet, along with a natural twine bow.

‘Le Jardin’ is stamped onto design paper, then fussy cut, distressed, and layered. All of the ticket shapes are created using a ticket edge punch.

Here are the Maja Design papers I used today:

I also used: Melissa Frances Resin Clock, Tim Holtz Tattered Florals die, Wild Rose Studio Oval Frame die, Memory Box Blooming Branch die, Magnolia Rose Leaf die, Stampin Up Ticket Corner punch, Hero Arts Clear Stamp, Tim Holtz Distress Oxide in Broken China, Prima Twine, Flower Centers, Tim Holtz Distress Tool, Foam Adhesive, Hot Glue Gun, Sewing Machine, Thread.

Maja Design papers are my favorite in all of the world! I can’t say it enough. Every other brand of paper in my craft room is completely neglected. All you have to do is work with them once to see and feel the difference. After that you’ll never want another brand again. I consider them the luxe line in the world of papercrafting, the Chanel of the crafty universe, but priced so you can afford to treat yourself. You can have them on your doorstep just by clicking on the ‘Store Finder’ tab at the top of the blog. For the chance to win a free collection don’t forget to check out our monthly Mood Board Challenge! Thank you so much for stopping by today. I send wishes for all things wonderful!

A happy hello to all of our crafty friends here at the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy, and I’m thrilled to be here to share my adoration of these beautiful papers with you. I’m feeling lots of love for the Coffee in the Arbour collection at the moment. Every single paper in the collection brings to mind the joy of a lovely spring day. I prefer tea to coffee, however, so I’m going with a teatime theme. This ‘Springtime Tea’ card combines pastels with a fun pop of bright color.

Each paper is distressed, layered, and stitched to form the base of the card. The card is designed around the focal image, which is found in the paper collection.

Prima flowers, die cut leaves, glass pearls, and a twine bow round out the embellishments.

Below is a closer look at the design paper. I know I say this all the time, but it truly is amazing how beautifully the papers work together. Honestly, the hardest part is narrowing down which papers to use. SO many choices!

A happy hello to all of our friends here on the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy, and I’m so happy to be with you on the blog today. I hope you’re enjoying fine spring weather in your area. In honor of this beautiful time of year, today’s card is all in pastels from Maja Design’s Sofiero collection. I absolutely adore this collection. It is the embodiment of all things springtime.

The design paper is distressed, layered, and stitched. Graduated sizes of Spellbinders circles and labels are layered and stitched as well. The sentiment is part of the paper collection. It is from the bottom border of the paper. Most brands of papers leave that section a plain white, but Maja Design makes wonderful use of that area by placing pretty designs and sentiments for use with our projects.

The circles are folded at the center to add dimension and to accommodate the sentiment. Paper flowers from my stash form a fresh and cheery floral bouquet.

Twine, lace, vintage buttons, and a tiny painted clothespin add finishing touches to the design.
