Hello, dear friends! I hope you’re having the happiest of holidays! It’s Nancy with you,  and it’s my great honor to share my final Christmas card of the season. I did try to share this with you two weeks ago, but there were problems with Maja Design’s WordPress on the day, and my post was somehow permanently lost after a very short period of time. Hence, I am giving it another go today and hoping for much better luck!

This winter wonderland card is created using one of my favorite frosty paper collections, Vintage Frost Basics!

Dimensional snowflakes, icy branches, snowballs, and loopy twine bows abound in this wintery scene.

The blues and whites work quite well together in creating a frosty chill!

Below is a peek at the interior of the card, including a little pocket to hold a gift card.

Maja Design Papers Used:

Hugs, Nancy-sign

I wish a happy hello to all of the wonderful friends of Maja Design! It’s Nancy back with you today, and I’m up to my ears in snowflakes! Not the cold kind that you sled in, because we don’t get snow where I live, but the frilly and frosty paper ones that I make every year around this time for my Christmas cards. I start early with my cards because time seems to fly during November and December, and I’m also childishly excited over the Christmas holiday.

I never use anything but Maja Design papers for my snowflakes. It stays intact despite the delicate nature of the die cuts, and is perfect for layering into these dimensional flakes. For this first card of the season I’ve chosen the fabulous Vintage Frost Basics Collection.

The base of the card is formed as usual, by distressing, layering, and stitching the design papers. I’m sticking with just two colors this time around, because soft blues and whites create a wonderful chilly feeling when used together.

There are no flowers this time (which rarely happens for me), but instead an arrangement of layered snowflakes topped off with a bit of white sand texture paste for a truly frosty finish. Icy branches and tiny snowballs enhance the frozen effect.

A little bow graces the corner, simply because I love them and feel like nothing is finished without one.

Hello, dear friends! Welcome to the Maja Design Blog. It’s Nancy here, with a new card to share. I may have mentioned previously that I love autumn. I can barely wait for that hint of chill in the air and nature’s lavish display of rich colors. This is when I spend my days with Maja Design’s breathtaking Walking in the Forest paper collection. I find that this collection truly embraces the inspiring hues of the season, which is what I’m aiming for with today’s card.

Each design paper is carefully distressed, layered, and stitched. The sentiment stamp has been on my desk just waiting for fall to arrive!

A die cut wreath forms an anchor for the plethora of leaves, berries, and flowers as they tumble down the front of the card.

A twine bow is tucked in along with the florals.

Hello, friends! It’s Nancy here, wishing you a warm welcome to the Maja Design Blog. I hope you’re having a lovely Tuesday. I can’t believe it’s the first week of September, with many parts of the world ushering in the first signs of autumn. Mother nature isn’t quite ready for fall in my sub-tropical corner of the world, where she’s gifting us with sunny, hot, and humid days.

The heat draws me to all things cool and refreshing, and once again Maja Design’s gorgeous Coffee in the Arbour collection comes to the rescue. The soft blues and raspberry hues are just what I’m looking for.

The papers are distressed, layered, and stitched to form a base. A trio of circles draw the eye across the card. The first is die cut from the center layers and popped up for dimension. The circular resin frame is layered over another die cut circle to the left.

Handmade and purchased blooms cascade from right to left, accented die cut leaves, glass pearls, and twine bows. The sentiment is hand stamped onto design paper.

The lower corner to the right features berry vines and ‘Raspberry Lemonade’ from the design paper, which are my inspiration for this card.

Hello and welcome! It’s Nancy on the blog today, and I’m so very happy to be here with you. It was an exciting day in Charleston yesterday as we were in the path of totality for the eclipse. I’ve also just returned from traveling again, this time to my daughter’s home to help out after my grand-girl’s surgery. I’m thrilled to report that all went well and she’s having a smooth recovery. I made her a get-well card to cheer her up a bit, but my sweet little grandson sadly pointed out that I forgot to make a card for him. I decided to remedy that situation as soon as I returned home. All I needed was a little help from Maja Design’s newest collection, Denim & Friends! Did I mention I’m happy to be home? It feels incredibly cozy to be back in my craft room with a cup of hot tea, surrounded by beautiful Maja Design papers!

The design papers are distressed, layered, and stitched in the usual fashion. The blues in this collection are absolutely lovely. I really can’t get enough of them. They’re perfect for masculine projects, but work just as well for shabby chic pieces.

I tell all of my children and grandchildren they’re my favorites, so this image makes perfect focal point. The ‘You Rock’ sentiment is also prominently featured.

This is one of the least flowery cards you’ll ever see from me, but I couldn’t resist tucking in a few petals here and there. The paint splatters fit right in with my grand-boy’s personality.

There is quite a bit of dimension, which I’ll try to capture in the photos.

A natural twine bow adds a finishing touch in the lower corner.
