Have you had snow at your place this year? In Holland we had a thick layer of snow the past couple of weeks. It’s only just yesterday that some of the snow started melting. I have to admit I don’t really like winter, snow and cold temperatures. I’m much more into the sunny summer days. But one of the things I do love about winter, is the fact that the world looks so beautiful covered with a layer of snow. As soon as I see some snow has fallen down, I just have to go outside and take a few photos of it. On this lay-out I scrapped one of the photos that I took of my mom last week. I used the gorgeous ‘Walking in the forest‘ collection to scrap it. Although these papers are perfect for fall lay-outs, you can definitely use them for other seasons too. I thought my sepia toned winter photo matched the papers pretty well.

I just couldn’t resist cutting out this adorable robin again. I added some crackle paint to the robin to give it a vintage look. The cute butterflies were cut out from the barcode strip of one of the papers. One of the things I love about Maja Design is that not only their papers, but also their barcode strips are so pretty.

On this lay-out I went a little ‘crazy’ adding lots of layers. I wanted to give this lay-out a cosy vintage feel, so I slightly distressed all the layers with my fingernails. I thought this adorable owl and two cut out tags made a nice finishing touch and tucked them among the layers of paper.
