Spring has officially arrived this week. Unfortunately the Dutch weather still doesn’t really suit the spring season. The sun is still hidden behind the clouds and it has even frozen this weekend. To me that was the perfect opportunity to take out the brand new ‘Vintage Spring Basics’ collection and use it to make a romantic spring tag.

With this gorgeous collection it was love at first sight for me. The romantic patterns, the soft colours, the pretty butterflies… I love everything about ‘Vintage Spring Basics’.

The first thing I did when I received these gorgeous papers, was cutting out this adorable bird and a couple of butterflies. Aren’t they just too pretty for words?
4 I adhered the cut out images to my card with foamtape for some more dimension. Most of the elements that I used on this tag, such as the calendar card and the small tag, are part of the ‘Cut out’ sheet. Each collection has a sheet like this with lots of wonderful images on it. You could even make an entire card from just this one single sheet of paper. The paper that comes with this collection is called ‘Days to remember’.2

Materials used:

Patterned papers: Maja Design (Vintage Spring Basics: 6th of May, Days to remember, 7th of May-bs, 1st of April; Vintage Summer Basics: Memories-bs); Bazzill Basics: cardstock; Tim Holtz: tag die, distress ink; Memory Box: dies; Queen & Co: pearls; Other: seam binding, button.
