A very good morning to you, Maja Fans! It’s Maja here with a new creation for you 🙂
Our May Moodboard’s main theme is wedding. And so I decided to share some wedding inspiration. I don’t know about customs in your countries, but in Poland money is quite a popular wedding gift. I think it’s really convenient for the newlyweds, as they can spend it on what they really need and want, not giving that away to everybody through a wedding gift list 😉 And so I thought of an elegant way to giving the money, as the envelope seemed so cliche to me 😉
I used papers from the Vintage Spring and Summer collections to decorate the sides of the box.
Then I glued the lid together, decorated with papers, tied some vintage lace and arranged flowers to look like a wedding bouquet 🙂When you remove the lid the box…explodes! 🙂
…revealing the inner sides with one side designed to write in the best wishes 🙂
…and the remaining three sides with strips of paper attached so that you can slide in some banknotes. I also put some suggestions on the strips, such as “for the new home”, “for a crib” and “for your dream holiday”.
The central element of the wedding box is a paper cake that I made (I knew I would use some of the mathematical knowledge SOMEDAY! 🙂 ) and decorated it with mini roses and guipure lace:
