Hello Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂
It’s Maja here to share my recent creations. Both feature the Ska Vi Ta En Fika? collection with its beautiful beiges, purples and greens to add some colour to greys of these days 🙂 I do miss the spring!
The first one is a layout in which I added some blues and white shades to cold crisp beige background:
I stamped the bacgkround paper with stamps designed by my fellow DT member for Maja, Gabi Pollacco – great work, girl!
For the top layer of the background, I cut the Kaffetaren… sheet diagonally to omit the coffee pot image and feature just the flourish corners. Then I distressed and curled out the edges:
I placed the flower cluster tucking the flowers and other elements between the background paper and the curled edge of the top layer:
To make the photo section more interesting, I used the same photo in two sizes, placing the small one into a resin frame:
Blue is not an essential colour in the “Fika” collection, but I think it looks great with it 🙂
Now let’s have a look at my other creation – a wedding card:
Here I combined the warm beige papers of the collection with delicate purples. I was inspired by the rose motif of the Chaite paper and delicate flourishes that happen to be very similar to the chipboard floruishes I had in my stash 🙂
I built my flower cluster around the printed roses, making them a part of the design:
I mounted each layer on 3D dots for more dimension. I also added several liquid pearl dots as a finishing touch:
