A very good morning to you, Maja Fans! Welcome to the blog today ๐
It’s Maja here with a couple of cards to share – and if you hate Mondays, I’ll try to cheer you up a bit with some summery projects ๐
Unfortunately, it seems the hottest summer of the century in Poland has finished, the temperatures dropped by 20 degrees within two days and we have to wrap up for a cold, rainy autumn… But at least the evenings became the most pleasant time to spend at home scrapbooking ๐ I decided to wave goodbye to the beautiful summer by using the beautiful summer papers for my projects ๐ And here they are:
I just LOVE this rosy 1933 paper!! It makes a perfect backgound for a soft, romantic wedding card. I distressed all the layers, added the flower cluster (I tried to blend the roses with the pattern of the background ๐ ), clockface button and glittered chipboard flourishes:
…and completed the card with some romantic lace and vintage ribbon:
But sometimes I feel I need something less sweet for a wedding – like when I go for a male friend’s wedding. And so I created a card without pink ๐ But the card is for two ๐ so I opted for a “masculine” palette of blues and creamy browns and a “newspaper” background, but kept flowers and filigree flourish frame to give the card a feminine touch too:
I distressed the layers, tore the background paper in two places and tucked some ruffled ribbon in:
I “drew” the flourishes by the flower custers using luquid pearls:
And finally, I made a birthday card for my dear friend Jenny ๐
I know the colour palette she likes, I know she’s romantic at heart – and so I tried to make the card to her taste:
Although the design is quite geometrical, I broke the straight lines with filigree flourishes of the chipboard frame and metal corners.
The card is actually a 2-in-1 thing: the cameo is detachable and wearable ๐ I hope Jenny likes it! Do you? ๐
