Good morning, dear Maja Fans, welcome to the blog today 🙂
If you still celebrate the sadly vanishing tradition of sending Christmas cards, I guess it’s time to start to send them 🙂 And if you’re looking for some inspiration, let me share some shaped cards today:
I used the latest release, the Holiday In The Alps collection. It contains several papers in darkest colours of the set and featuring beautiful damask patterns. Here I took the navy blue paper, applied a white stencil pattern upon it – just look at the gorgeous contrast! – and added embellishments:
The flower cluster includes foamiran poinsettias I made myself 🙂 I also added a die-cut manger scene:
There’s also a brown damask paper in the set:
I paired it with the burgundy paper and added some colour-matchign embellishments, with art clay angels made with a mold:
And, last but not least, the burgundy version of the same pattern:
Here I applied a snowflake pattern upon the paper and added a chipboard quotation from a Polish Christmas song. Then I added my embellishments, including a large Prima poinsettia, my handmade foamiran poinsettia and some twigs and leaves die cut from glitter cardstocks.
And here’s the whole set:
I really like how they turned out, glimmering and festively rich 🙂 What do you think?
Here’s my list of supplies:
Maja Design papers:
Other: stencils: Agateria, Heidi Swapp; flowers: Prima, handmade; dies: Marianne Design, Magnolia, Craft&You Design, Tim Holtz/Sizzix; chipboard: Scrapiniec; crystals, ribbon, mold: my stash.
That is all for today, thank you for visiting and see you later!
