Hello, friends! I’m so happy you’ve stopped in for a visit. I hope you’re having a great day. It’s Nancy here, with a new card to share. I’m absolutely head over heels in love with Maja Design’s newest collection, Celebration, so I’m featuring it once again in today’s card.

Here you’ll find layers of distressed papers, pearls, lace, roses, and a billow of gowns. One thing is certain, when this stunning couple steps onto the dance floor, all eyes are on them. The image is fussy cut from the paper collection. There are so many lovely images to work with that the possibilities are endless. I’m inspired to pull out my detail scissors every time I pick up this collection.

The roses are handmade, with tiny paper roses added as a center. Below are a few photos of the details of the card.

Hello, friends! I wish you a warm and cozy  welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, and I’m super excited to share a card created with Maja Design’s newest collection, Celebration, with you. The new release is in honor of Maja Design’s 10th anniversary, and if you haven’t checked this festive collection out yet, you’re in for a treat.  It’s filled with fabulous patterns, colors, and spectacular vintage images reminiscent of the romance and gaiety of the roaring twenties.

This lovely image of a fashionable ‘flapper’ lady forms a perfect focal point, and is fussy cut from the paper collection. Black is heavily featured in the palette because it reminds me of a Coco Chanel quote, “Women think of all colors except the absence of color. I have said that black has it all.” When it comes to style I’m always inspired  by Coco Chanel quotes!

Pearl sprays, roses, and a loopy bow add an irresistibly feminine touch. Of course, there must be pearls on this card, because according to Coco Chanel, “A woman needs ropes and ropes of pearls.” I happen to agree with her completely.

The sentiment and roses are also fussy cut from the paper collection. There are quite a few layers here, many of which are popped up with foam adhesive to add dimension.

Hello, dear friends! I hope you’re having a wonderful beginning to the New Year! It’s Nancy here, with the blessing of being with you on the blog today. I’m so happy you’ve stopped in for a visit.

With Christmas cards behind me for the season, I’m happily moving on to this card for my dear friend’s birthday in one of my favorite collections; Maja Design’s Vintage Summer Basics.

The beautiful papers absolutely work magic in bringing this festive rose garden to life. The roses, stamped sentiment, and curly confetti are handmade from design paper. The only portion of this project that is not made with Maja Design paper is the twine and ribbon.

Below is a peek at the inside of the card, where a personal sentiment can be written. This piece is made to be removable, so a photo can be inserted at a later time if desired.

Hello, dear friends! I hope you’re having the happiest of holidays! It’s Nancy with you,  and it’s my great honor to share my final Christmas card of the season. I did try to share this with you two weeks ago, but there were problems with Maja Design’s WordPress on the day, and my post was somehow permanently lost after a very short period of time. Hence, I am giving it another go today and hoping for much better luck!

This winter wonderland card is created using one of my favorite frosty paper collections, Vintage Frost Basics!

Dimensional snowflakes, icy branches, snowballs, and loopy twine bows abound in this wintery scene.

The blues and whites work quite well together in creating a frosty chill!

Below is a peek at the interior of the card, including a little pocket to hold a gift card.

Hello, and welcome to the Maja Design Blog! It’s Nancy here, with a bit of Christmas cheer on this happy Tuesday. Are you in the midst of your holiday preparations? If so, then I’m certainly right there with you. Today I’m honored to share a card created with Maja Design’s fabulously festive ‘I Wish’ collection.

The Santa Claus image and sentiment are part of the paper collection, and a perfect focal point for a cheery holiday card. The collection features many other vintage images that are equally delightful, making it a very difficult choice.

A simple spray of frosty greenery, pinecones, and berries adorn the right side of the card, with a loopy twine bow providing a finishing flourish.

There is actually quite a bit of dimension with this card, which I’ll try to capture in the photos below, as well as a peek at the interior design. The design papers are distressed, layered, stitched, and popped up with foam adhesive.
