Hello Sweeties,

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a set of cards made with the new collection “Enjoying Outdoors”.

Card1511_PB

I kept the cards simple.
I die-cut a design in semi-plain papers (“Colourful” and “Spending Time”), distressed the edge before gluing them to the card’s base.

Card1511_detail0_PB

I die-cut the roses in the “Scent of Lavender” paper and ink the edge, the smaller flowers were die-cut in an left-over paper and the leaves in”Woodland” and “Beautiful trees”.

Card1511_detail1_PB

I glued the different elements with 3D Matte Gel. To finish the card, I added microbeads and  splatters of watered gesso.

Card1511_detail2_PB

Same work for this card, but I used some manufactured flowers.

I don’t know if you have notice that at the bottom of each sheet of paper of Maja Design, there is a border with some text or just a drawing. This borders are perfect to add a title or a decorative element to your projects. The sentiment here came from the “Picking Flowers” paper.

Hello Sweeties

Today, I’m up on Maja Design blog with a photo of my maternal grandmother taken at the beginning of the 60’s.

Mamie50_Pascale

I began to protect the background with a layer of clear gesso. Then I glued different assorted papers to give some texture and covered them partially with a thin layer of gesso. I added a design with a stencil and light modeling paste.

Mamie50_detail1_PB

I covered the pieces of chipboard with a layer of clear gesso before coloring them with Mica Powder and Twinkling H2O.

Mamie50_detail2_PB

I cut the leaves in a assorted paper and I shaded them with a Distress Ink. I colored the flowers and then herbs with some Mica Powder and Twinkling H2O.

I finished the layout with some random stamping, some microbeads as well as some Glass Glitters.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a view of the castle of Villandry (Indre-et-Loire, France) and the new collection: Enjoying Outdoors.

Villandry_Pascale

First I primed the background paper with a layer of clear Gesso. Then, I added a design with a stencil and crackle paste.

I covered the chipboards with white Gesso before painting them and covering the “flower” parts with micro beads. I die-cut some leaves in two assorted papers and colored the flowers.

After assembling everything, I colored the background, added some splatters and Glass Glitters.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with, as you can see, a new family photos. It’s a photo of my dad taken on the day of his very first parachute jump. He was only 18 years old at the time …

1951_Pascale

I started my layout by protecting the background with a layer of clear Gesso. Then I added a design with a stencil and Graphite paste.

When dry, I added some color with bleu and black bisters. I let react with water and when the result pleased me, I dried with my heat gun.

1951_detail3_Pascale

I added some random stamping. And to finish I completed my layout with some micro beads and glass glitter.

Hello Sweeties

Today it’s a photo that I took during a trip to Terra Botanica (Angers – France) that I choose to scrap with the beautiful Maja Design’s papers. It’s a reconstruction of a old attic or garage with a pile of old stuff like I used to see in my grand-parents’s farm.

Terra_Pascale

I began to add a design with a stencil and a Graphite paste. When dry , I added some random stamping.

Terra_detail1_Pascale

Meanwhile I painted the die-cut gears and the clock face with black Gesso and covered them randomly with the graphite paste. Then I let them dry.

Terra_detail2_Pascale

When gears and clock were dry, I added some Rusting Powder “glued” with soft gel. To activate the powder, you just need to spray some vinagar et wait. If you don’t like to wait, you can accelarate the process by heating the powder with your heat gun.

Terra_detail3_Pascale

While the gears were quietly rusting, I colored the flowers, die-cut the leaves et cut some papers to add under the photo.

Terra_detail4_Pascale

To finalize, I added a touch of green with a chalk ink.
After having put all the embellishments together, I added some color to the background and some black glitters.
