Hello Maja friends!

When we were hiking in the autumn forest, we discovered a new house for our dog.

Filou had to examine it closely and it seems as if it meets his requirements ūüėȬ†

Back at home, he has come to love his soft dog basket and of course our sofa again,

¬†because it’s much more comfortable as he whispered to me.

That was my inspiration for this new autumn layout in mixed media natural style.

I have combined two of our beautiful autumn collections at Maja Design ‘Enjoying Outdoors’ and ‘Walking in the forest’.

The delicately patterned green background was ideally suited

to embellish it with stamps, stencils and spray paints.

The central element is a cutout from the paper sheet ‘Maple’ in the shape of an autumn leaf,¬†

which somehow looks like an acorn.

some details

some typical forest elements in autumn colours – a chipboard,

wooden shapes, dried tree bark and lichen

two trees made with modelling paste and silicone mould, ‘Fall foliage’ and branches with cutting dies

dried acorns shells and fern leaves also made with white modeling paste

Thanks for your visit!

Have a wonderful day!

Good morning, dear visitors to the Maja Design blog!

Autumn has just begun and although we can still enjoy some warmer days, nights become colder and colder and leaves turn yellow and orange, a sure sign of the autumn season. And so for today I have an autumn wedding layout to share:

For this page I decided to keep the colour palette of the photo: yellow, pale orange, delicate green and pastel brown. This is perhaps not my frequent choice of colours, but it was surprisingly nice to work with. First I built the background using papers from the Enjoying Outdoors and Vintage Summer Basics collections. The I added some brick pattern onto the top sheet using a Prima stencil and crackle paste:

I kept the design rather simple, with a flowery heart matting the photo as the only decorative element. I added some white resin embellishments among the flowers and some theme words describing marriage features around the photo. Under the heart I attached a delicate lace bow. The heart is also matted with frayed cheesecloth.

The layout is quite dimensional and perfect to go into a shadowbox-like frame.

I really like the way it turned out, light and delicate with some touches of bright colours, with the photo still in focus. What do you think?

And here’s the list of my supplies:

Maja Design papers:

Other: flowers, stencil, crackle paste – Prima; resin embellishments: handmade with Prosvet moulds; cheesecloth, bling, lace – my stash.

Thank you for visiting and see you later!

Jennifer Snyder here to share a magical unicorn moment with Maja Design’s Enjoying Outdoors collection.

My sentiment reads : “It’s going to be a rainbows and unicorns kind of day.”
Some days are meant to be extra special.
Beautiful Maja Design papers can also help to make a day extra special.

The Enjoying Outdoors collection has rich purples and greens that make me think of unicorns.  I am not sure why I connect purple with unicorns, but I do.
That’s the very reason I selected this paper. These are the 12×12 pieces I used from the collection:
Flourishing
Woodlands
The Great Nature

The dimensional die used on this card is from Spellbinders and Becca Feeken.  The Unicorn die is also from Spellbinders.  The  die set is mean to fold flat  to fit into an envelope.

This is an image of the multiple layers of the card Рthe layers which make the card dimensional.  Scrolling down, the next image down shows the card folding flat for placing in an envelope.

Thanks for stopping here today.  I hope your day is filled with rainbows, unicorns and beautiful Maja Design papers.

Maja Design –¬† Picking Flowers ( both A and B side 12×12 size)
The design has beautiful delicate details.  Because of this, I left my embellishments on the plain and simple side so that the papers had an opportunity to shine.

A little about the accents on this card…the¬† featured embellishment I chose is a chipboard butterfly from Creative Embellishments.¬† I left the chipboard piece in it’s original color with no treatments because the kraft color of the chipboard was a nice accent.
The decorative circle die is from Graphic 45 РStaples Collection РSquare Tag and Clock.  I chose to leave out the clock face.
I also have some pink adhesive pearls as finishing touches and hemp cord to add an element of nature to the card. .

Hello friends.  Jennifer Snyder with you today to share my heart card created using the Enjoying Outdoors collection from Maja Design.
These are the papers I used from the Enjoying Outdoors collection:
Singing in the Rain (A and B sides of paper)
There is No Bad Weather
I have to smile because the name of one of the sheets of paper I used is called “There is No Bad Weather”.
That is soooooooooo true when you are sitting at your crafting table and making some paper projects.¬† There just is no bad weather – it’s always a perfect time to scrap.¬† And even better when you are playing with Maja papers.
These are just gorgeous colors and they make me happy.  This collection is a MUST for anyone who loves purple.  This is sure to make you scrap-happy.
I embellished my card with die cuts from Spellbinders РSew Sweet Valentine set.  I wove hemp twine through the holes in the heart die to add more natural elements to the card.
Here is one last look at the completed card.  Ahhh those colors!
I love photo images that provide a look at the dimension of the card.  This one is pretty flat and quite easy to mail and yet rich with texture.
Thank you for sharing a piece of your day with Maja Design.
