Jennifer Snyder here today.  I’m sharing my cards made with one of my favorite Maja design collections, Fika and embellished with flowers from Petaloo by Floracraft.
It’s always time for a coffee or tea break as far as I am concerned.  In fact I was actually sipping hot coffee while making these cards.
These are the gorgeous papers I used from the  “Ske vi ta en Fika collection ( Fika) –
cheesecake
 Två Fröknar,
Söders Höjder,
I embellished the cards with flowers by Petaloo by Floracraft.  They are gorgeous little Forget-me-nots from the Penny Lane collection.  The Petaloo flowers also match the papers perfectly.
The stamps are from JustRite Papercrafts.  Very fun coffee themed stamps!

Thank you for joining me today for a spot of coffee.

Jennifer Snyder here today to share my card.
Purple and green are among my favorite color combinations.  Toss in  rich chocolate brown color and you have the Fika collection from Maja Design.
I adore this classic collection.  I did have to stop hoarding the paper and actually cut it up to use, however there is still a part of me that wants to hoard away forever.  But we all know in our hearts that paper is meant to be used and enjoyed on projects and not tucked away on a shelf.
I accented the card with some fabulous purple Petaloo Flowers.  They are a perfect match and help to add a delicate touch.
Here is a close up.

Thanks for stopping here  and I hope your day is wonderful.

Hello Sweeties

Today I’m up on Maja Design blog with a layout featuring the Sofiero paper collection. I chose a photo of my family: my grandmother, my father, my aunt and unfortunately I’m not sure who the other two are.

Family by Pascale B.

I primed the background with clear gesso. While it was drying, I cut a few papers from the Vintage Romance 6×6 pad that I glued on the background. Then I added a thin layer of white gesso.

I added a design with a stencil and different pastes: clear crackle, white crackle, and white stone. When dry, I added some color with Iris Potion Sparks paint that I watered down.

I die-cut some leaves in a watercolor paper. I colored the vine with Raven Sparks and the leaves with Twinkling H2Os. Then I covered them with the Antique Brillance Amethyst Magic. I added some wax on the background too to add a vintage look.

I colored some flowers with a spray made of Primary Element and water. Before gluing all the embellishments, I added some random stamping with an Archival ink and with the Raven Sparks. I added a little bird house that I colored with the wax too.

To finish the layout I added some micro beads.

Hello dear friends, Evgenia Petzer here with you today and I wanted to share with you two beautiful envelopes in which you can gift either money or a gift card. Our-days these type or presents seem to be more appropriate in some occasions. But its always nice to present something beautifully.

I have some special feelings for Ska vi ta en Fika collection, I just love those purple/lavender shades and can play with it for long time.konv1_fika_majadesign_petzerkonv2and some close ups:konv_det1 konv_det2 lots of different flowers, laces and pearlskonv_det3The envelopes are “closed” with this die cut lacekonv_det4Once again, I have used Ska vi ta en Fika:

A Girl’s Diary

Good morning, Maja Design friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

With November coming to an end, I think it’s time to think of Christmas presents, especially if you intend making them yourselves. And so today I have a girly diary to share.

mddor

As the little lady, who will be writing her secrets in this notebook, likes purples, I chose to work with the Ska Vi Ta En Fika? collection with a bit of the Vintage Spring Basics set, which offered both cold and warm shades of purple, paired with browns and greens too. And so I adapted the same palette for the diary. I layered some papers on the front cover:

…added a ribbon bow and a butterfly charm on the wire:

…and decorated the front with a stamped and hand-coloured image:

On the inner cover, I added the girl’s monogram in a decorative heart on the background of the butterfly and plaid patterns:

There’s also a bonus stamped image at the back of the diary:

…and a little envelope to put in special secrets 🙂

mddor6

I hope the girl would like her secret diary 🙂

And here’s what I used to make it:

Papers: Ska Vi Ta En Fika?: Nybakat, Chaite, Mandelkaka, Lejas café; Vintage Spring Basics: 11th of April BS, 9th of April BS. Other: stamps: Magnolia, Basic Grey; ribbon, twine: Rayher, charm, plate: my stash.

Have you started making your Christmas gifts yet?
