Hello, Maja friends, welcome to the blog today 🙂

Could I post anything else but a child’s layout on Children’s Day? No, I couldn’t! And so, here’s my sweet little nephew:

mdhmAnd could I use any other collection for a sweet baby page than the Vintage Baby papers? No, I couldn’t! 🙂 The It’s a Boy sheet made a perfect background:

mdhm1I added tiny liquid pearl dots to decorate the doily border around the page and used one of the signature strips to decorate the bottom of the page 🙂 Onto this background I placed the photo matted with various pieces of papers and cut-out tags:

mdhm2mdhm6I die-cut the title…

mdhm3and added some stamping…

mdhm4…and a punched banner:

mdhm5My layout is layered, yet flat enough to be placed into a frame:

mdhm7I’ll be giving this page as a keepsake of the little prince’s first Children’s Day 🙂

Hi there Maja fans!
Today’s blogpost is about the versatility of the Maja papers.
For this big (60cm high!) lighthouse I used the Vintage Baby collection.
It shows that these papers are just perfect for any project!

IMG_0008I started to cut some small strips of the sweet little prince sheet for the body of the lighthouse.

I attached a round canvas for extra stability.
Filled the bottom with flowers, pieces of wood, shells and some netting.

I distressed all the edges of the strips.

Made this sign with a piece of the die cuts sheet.
Did the text, arrow and borders with a brown fineliner.

This rope was a bit to yellow so I gave it a coat with gesso to match the project.

These blue flowers got a touch with the gesso as well.

20150510_104532Also made some rolled flowers with the papers.

Die cuts
Ephemera cards

Hello dear friends! Its Evgenia Petzer with you today and I have been again playing with the Vintage Baby collection, I absolutely love the baby theme in scrapping so this collection is so much for my taste. I love that it also has neutral colors, not only blue and pink.

Here is the card that I made for a baby boy:

I also have used the vintage lace to add more texture to the card

Hi there Maja friends!
Ingrid here today with a layout of my youngest daughter, Yiscka.
In 9 days she will be back from her adventure in the States.
She ended her internship and hopefully she will get her diploma this summer!
Pfffff….almost 7 months without my girl…it’s been hard but I couldn’t be more proud of her!
So this page is for her….made with love.

For this page I used the Vintage Baby collection.
I wanted to show you the versatility of the papers.
This baby collection is not only for little ones but also perfect for your older babies!!
Didn’t take the pink papers but I choose to work with the blue and brown ones.
The background was created with a mix of gesso and some of the Magic powder from 13arts. Made the mixture quite thick to get the crackle effect.
The splashes of ink in the background were made with Distress stain from Tim Holtz.

Had a wooden heart in my stash and just gave it a coat of gesso and some ink.
Also added some brown pearls.

20150510_115456

Added these Prima flowers, one colored with some blue paint from 13arts.

This word, special, came from the bottom strip of the Ephemera cards sheet.

Those lovely butterflies are from Prima.
Printed and cut the title and outlined the edges with a brown fineliner.

Hello wonderful Maja Design fans!

I’m in today after a nice family holiday to share a card I made using two seemingly different collections: Crea Diem and Vintage Baby.

The colors in Crea Diem are quite muted, and complements the tones in Vintage Baby. The designs are also more flourished, so for those who prefer a different kind of background for their baby cards, it is a good alternative. Here, I used some of the neutral grey tones and layered my cut outs from Vintage Baby on top to get a card that is both classic and baby-ish at the same time.

The grey toned paper layers I used didn’t have the black border on all sides, so it was just a matter of inking the edges with black ink to achieve the same effect.

Some close-ups:

A simple background of mists and stenciled texture paste over my layers of papers, plus my must-have floral cluster. Some stamping with a vine stamp as well to create the effect of spreading leaves and direction. I had also done some stamping on my cut-out from Vintage Baby before layering the beautifully drawn image on it.

I like to add chipboard to my projects because it’s additional dimension and texture, and breaks up the monotony of just papers alone. On this piece, I have a few different layers of tones of pink and lilac to make it complement the papers.

And that’s all for now, thanks for dropping by!
