Maja Thanks you - Kristina

Meet Kristina Peshko.

“I am very excited and enjoy for the second time, to be writing for a blog that inspires me.  My name is Kristina and I have been following Maja Design for three years now.  I live in Russia, in the Urals, city of Yekaterinburg.  I have two favorite boys, my husband Alexander and son Maxim.

Most of all, I love creating scrapbook albums, but I like to do everything from small to complex, participate in exchanges, alter books, and create canvases. “

I asked Kristina what her favorite collection was.   Very difficult choice for her but she said it was probably Vintage Summer Basics because it was the first collection she saw from Maja Design.   You can see more of Kristina’s work on her blog found right here.

Dear Maja fans,

Thanks for stopping by today. I guess you are curious of the new mood board.. This month we’ll go with the theme and colours from our latest collection “I Wish”. Haven’t you had the pleasure of playing with it yet? No worries, play along in this challenge, with your other Maja papers that match the colours, and hopefully you will win a whole collection of “I Wish” – or any other of your favorites.

MB-November16

This is how we use the mood boards:

Definition mood board – n

[a board used by designers on which samples of various colours and textures are mounted to help in deciding which elements complement each other]

We are using mood boards for our challenges. We truly believe in creativity and art at Maja Design. You are free to interpret the mood boards in any way you’d like. They are supposed to set you in an inspirational mood without too much controlling. We would like you to be inspired by the poems, words and photos. They are not given rules, they are just there as inspiration. However – we highly recommend you to follow the theme.. Feel free to use any Maja papers you’d like as long as they follow the colour scheme.

We will pick a winner and present it here on the blog November 28th.

Have in mind that these challenges are a really great way for us to discover new talents and maybe some future Creative Team members…

How to participate?

♥ Create anything you’ll like – a layout, a card, something altered or maybe a canvas. Use Maja papers primarily! Take a nice picture of it and send it to moodboard@majadesign.nu. We also need to know your full name, address and a phone number. Please specify what collection you would like to win, if you are the lucky one. We will also want to know if you would like it in the size 12*12 or 6*6. Please send us the pictures in the size of 800 pixels on the width. We would be so grateful if you also could change the file name of the photo to your first and last name including your country.

♥ Feel free to send us more than one picture, from different angles or some close-ups – or why not more than one project?

♥ Publish the project/s on your blog (or/and any social media, e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest) with a link to our site. Please also add the image of the mood board.

♥ Feel free to combine your entry with other challenges.

♥ The winner will be revealed the last Monday each month, at the Maja blog. The winner will be sent one collection by their choice, and also a digital Winner’s Badge to use and brag with.

We need your creation November 24th at the latest.

Thank you & Good luck!

Jennifer Snyder here for the second day to feature our wonderful Facebook fans.  These are followers who regularly share their art by “tagging ” us on Facebook.  What do I mean by “tagging” and how does one actually “tag” Maja Design?  Great questions.
What Does It Mean to “Tag” on Facebook
“Tagging” is a great way to share on Facebook.
When I tag someone on a Facebook post, it means the post I created on my timeline will also appear on that person’s timeline.  Let’s say I want to add a beautiful photo of my husband to my timeline. I want my husband to see it so I will tag my husband in my post.  At that point, my post will be shares on his timeline  for all his friends and followers to see. You can “tag” people and you can “tag” companies as well.  If I post a card using Maja Design, I can “tag” Maja Design and the artwork will appear in Maja’s Facebook page.
How to “Tag” on Facebook
Tagging is easy.  I’ll stick to the example of my husband.  As I am writing my Facebook post, I can start typing his name and list of names will usually appear for me to select.  Once selected, the “tagged” name will have a highlighted color – mine “tag”appears as blue type. “Tagging” a company requires you to simply type @ before the name.  So I would type @Maja Design, and a list of names should appear to select.  That’s all there is to “tagging”.
“Tagging” is a Great Way to Share on Facebook
The great thing about “tagging” Maja Design is that you do not need to make multiple posts.  You simply need to make just one post to your timeline and you are done.  That one “tag” means the wonderful folks at Maja Design get to see your work as well as all the Maja fans around the world.  Now the whole world can admire and be awestruck over your amazing talent and your clever design.  You are an instant  crafting “rock star”!
Today I would like to acknowledge the artwork of some wonderful artists who regularly “tag” Maja Design.
FEATURED ARTISTS
“My name is Pia Baunsgaard – in scrap world is my nickname piabau. I live 20 km outside Copenhagen, Denmark. I make most card but also like to decorate boxes, make albums and home decor. I love the combination of all blue and brown colors. I find it difficult to choose a particular favorite from Maja design papers because I think each is unique, I love these papers.”

You can find more of Pia’s work on her blog: piabau.blogspot.dk

Marie lives in Aalesund, Norway. She prefers to make cards but also enjoys boxes and mini albums. As you can tell from the images posted below, she likes pastels. Among her favorite colors to use are offwhite/white and pink, blue or purple. Marie says it’s almost impossible to pick a favorite Maja collection but since I made her, she choose Vintage Summer Basics and Vintage Autumn Basics for the gorgeous colours and prints.

You can find Marie’s blog right here.

“My name is Wendy Scholten, I am 34 years old. I live in the netherlands in a small town called Kwitsheul. I’m married to Peter and have a little girl, Lisa, who is almost 3 years old. I have been scrapbooking since 2005 and never stopped since. I like to make lay-outs, canvasses, mini albums and also like to alter objects. And I love to use a lot of embellishments as well as lace. Wendy’s favorite collection from Maja Design is vintage summer basics!”

You can see more of Wendy’s creativity on her blog: www.mysweetcreativelife.blogspot.nl

If you would like to be featured, then consider adding a “tag” to your Facebook posts to share with Maja Design and the whole world.
